"Well, if he wishes to discuss it with us that's his choice." Ryouku turned to Karana. "Now to answer your question. Out of all the sentient life forms I have seen humans are by far the most interesting to watch."
"Why's that?"
"Well for starters, the strength of their hearts. One man can lead an army to victory if he has a strong enough heart. I find that kind of strength as amazing as it is mysterious."
"I think I get what you're saying."
Ryouku shook his head. "But after all these years of learning I still cannot find an answer to why humans decide to go to war in the first place. Death is all around us, yes. But even if something is worth fighting for, does it give anyone the right to send thousands to march to their deaths? These are just a few of the questions in which the answers have eluded me for the past few centuries. If I find the library, maybe it will have the answers I seek." Ryouku noticed Karana listening to him intently. "But I digress. We should be on our way."

Chicken <-- Egg <-- Rocket Powered Fist Take that, science!
"Yes we should," I answered quickly, "we must make a big loop out of our way, as to reach the entrance I spoke of. I will guide anyone who wants to come."
"Man! This flying thing just never gets old, does it?" I yelled from up top. His voice caught the wind, and rushed past him. He didnt think that she had heard him. He was contimplating whether to jump off again, put remembered now that they were much higher up this time than the last time they went flying. Ill compromise then, he thought to himself.
He grabed a rope from inside his coat(he always kept a few crucial things on his person at all times) and slung it around her. From this, he tied it around his waist, and jumped off.
"This is even more fun!" he yelled. Luna looked down, looking suprised of were his voice came from. Apparently, she couldnt feel it when he slung the rope.
Luna roared, and decided to try telepathy on the cute elf-boy.
*Be careful!* she warned, giggling in her head.
"How'd you do that?" Warren snapped, looking up at the dragon. "Woah..." he had noticed the cresecnt moon shaped scar on Luna's stomach. "Where'd that come from?" he shouted.
*What're you talking about?* Luna asked, looking down at him again.
Seeker had been resting on a rooftop when he had heard the story about the library. He listened intently and as they took flight, he began to follow them.
If the library really existed, then it's contents would be worth quite a lot. His own cash was very low. He didn't have any debts, but he didn't want to start either. He didn't want to join the group, that would cut into his profits. Of course, if they were to sell all the books, the profits from a cut of it would be incredible. If he was offered he would take it, but until then- he would be as a ghost.
As the city disappeared in the distance, Seeker closed the distance between them. The dragons were carrying some passengers, which was odd for dragons. Flying close to the dragons was something bright.
No, it can't be, Seeker thought. But there it was, a Phoenix. There was only supposed to be one in the entire world.
Seeker decided that this group was certainly odd. Following them at a distance wouldn't be hard, but Seeker felt a sudden boldness come over him. He closed the distance until he was right under the closest dragon. The dragon was large enough that he was able to draft him.
Suddenly, he was face to face with an elf. He was hanging from a rope and he didn't look happy. Seeker flared his wings to get a better look. The rope attached to the dragon. He must have been in free fall when the rope had suddenly stopped him.
Things had suddenly become very serious. Doing something stupid like jumping off a dragon was suicidal and stupid.
In the air, doing something stupid was often the last thing you did.
All this went through Seeker's head as he flew at eye level with an elf.
Karana shook her head at Warren. He certainly is interesting. she thought to herself. I'm just glad that rope didn't snap, else he'd be in trouble yet again!
She turned back to Ryouku. "How far away is this library?"
*Sorry...that's all I've got*
"Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery." Timothy 4:14 KJV
"Why hello there," I greeted yet another creature who appeared to have joined our group. "Don't mind Warren, he's just developed a liking for flying."
"Ooh. A Gryphon! Now that would be fun," Warren mused as the rope reached the end of his extension and suddenly he cried out in pain, letting go of the rope as the sound of breaking bones split through the air. Luna also let out a sharp cry and circled before crashing through the trees and landing with a heavy thud. Every creature on the ground hurried over but I was closest and just in time to catch the falling elf.
"Ouch," Warren winced as I laid him on the ground and the others reached us.
"You idiot!" Luna called, crashing through the trees, a large rope burn across her side.
Sorry," Warren mumbled.
"Foolish elf," The Gryphon said, his voice thick with disdain as he shook his wings out further and rose a little higher into the air.
I heard a shout behind me, and turned around to see what was happening. The elf Warren lay spraled on the ground with everyone else crowded around him. I did not like to waste time, but there was nothing I could do. I descided to at least use the time to do something useful, so I found some fallen branches, and made myself a long bow. It was about eightfoot tall when unstrung, and its recurve shape gave it more power. I wove a string out of the wood as well (which is not easy to do) and strung the bow. I also made a quiver and worked on some arrows.
"I can always work on more arrows and more arrowheads later," I thought. After all, the road was not short...
Luna changed form quickly, becoming an elf-girl again, and ran to Warrens side.
"I can stop the pain," she said, looking at the others.
"You can?"
"How?"
"I have some healing powers; not much though. If I didn't have it, the wounds I had on that first day would've looked much worse."
"Well, go ahead then," Karana said, moving out of the way. Carefully, as to not make the pain any worse, Luna laid her hands on Warren's chest. He shuddered under her touch, and she closed her eyes. Her hands began to glow green, and Warren shuttered again, trying to move away from her.
"Stop, you're hurting him!" Julia exclaimed, running foreward.
"No she's not," Sonya argued, reaching out and grabbing Julia. "It's part of the process! Watch." The green glow grew brighter until it was nearly unbearable to look at; carefully, Luna pulled her hands back and examined her work.
I stuggled against Sonya's hold and then calmed when I saw that Warren was breathing more easily.
"Sorry. I should have trusted you," I apologised.
"That's okay," Luna replied.
"Put him on my back," Ryouku decided. "But make sure he doesn't try anything like that again."
"I'll ride with him," I offered. Carefully I lifted Warren up and he groaned but seemed able to walk with just a little support. Lifting him onto Ryouku's back took a bit longer than I had anticipated but finally he was settled in front of me and I held him in place.
"Shall we be on our way then?" Tyrin decided. And so we set out once more with our new companion, the Gryphon, following.
