"I have a way to boost your powers and can teach it to you if your willing" replied Zander
"No, how do we know your not lying" Asked Eliera
"You will have to take the risk or keep getting weak" replied Zander waiting for a reply.

Eliera shot to her feet.

"WEAK!" she exclained, throwing her arms into the air. "I'll show you who's weak!"

Eliera held her hands out, her eyes blazing with anger. She chanted magical words and lightning crackled from her fingers, striking the ground around Zander. She glared at him and her hands shot to the air above her head. A raging inferno blasted around her, but never burning her. She smiled wickedly.

"What was that you said again? Something about ME, the daughter of one of the most powerful mages to ever walk this planet, being Weak!?" she called, letting her hands drop to her side. The fire sputtered and died.

"That would've been helpful a few minutes ago." Zander pointed out.

"Dont test your luck with me, kid." Eliera snarled.

Alaura stood up. "Eliera calm down. Zander, knock it off."

"Knock what off!?" Zander insisted. He too rose to his feet.

Eliera smiled wickedly again. Her left hand shot out and lightning fell around Alaura, making the girl flinch. She turned on her heel and stalked away furiously.

Echoing in Alaura, Zander, and Hendrea's minds were the words, "I still trust none of you."

Echoing in only Alaura's mind, were the words, "We start your training now. Follow me." Alaura obeyed, leaving the two sitting by the fire. Alaura hurried off after Eliera.

When she reached the remains of the house, Eliera stopped and turned around. Alaura came to stand in front of her.

"Now we will truly start your training." Eliera said. She scooped up a pile of ashes and handed them to Alaura.

"Can you teach me what you just did?!" Alaura asked hopefully.

Eliera turned to the girl. "You really want to know?" she asked, a small smile playing on her lips. Alaura nodded.

Eliera opened her left hand and there sat the mark of the tell tale flash powder, a illusionest's best friend. The powder could do just about anything, except harm a person.

"Lesson number one. You must always let the enemy think you are stronger than they are, otherwise you're dead. Lesson number two: Dont be afrain to use flash powder."

Alaura smiled. "I will remember that."

Zander stood there watching Alaura train. Zander sat down and started meditating. Concentrating to gather his power to one place. he kept concentrating until he felt half of his power come to one place. Then he concentrated on levitating everything near him. Every object he levitated took a part of his power. Gradually everything including himself began to levitate. Then everything rotating began to slowly fall down, but Zander was still levitating. Then suddenly everything around him began to die. The grass plants and even trees began to whither away. Zander stood up his whole body glowing blue brightly. After about five minutes his body stopped glowing.

*yay for YWS!!! It's working again!*

Hendrea watched as Zander started to meditate, but she had seen people do that before, and bent by a bare spot on the ground. She carefully dug a shallow hole in the ground and poured some of her water into it, casting a small, simple spell to keep the water from seeping into the ground. Then, pulling out a small glass flask, she poured some of the thick black liquid into the small pool until it no longer reflected her surroundings. Then, scooping a handful of the mandrake powder, she carefully dribbled it over the surface of the pool, using the magic language to ask her question. She took a deep breath, cleared her mind, and stared hard into the water...

Nothing. Again.

She screamed a curse and threw her flask into the makeshift oracle. No Answer?! How much simpler could her question get?!

With a frusterated sigh, she gathered up the water and put it in her empty canteen with a sigh. She'd try again later.

"So what now?" Zander asked the others curiously. After a while he saw that no one was answering. Without a word he just stood there waiting for an answer

Eliera glanced over her shoulder to look at Zander.

"Very good. Thats all today. My patience is wearing thin." Eliera told Alaura, casting a meaningful glance over at Zander.

The two of them walked over and sat down by the fire. Eliera's eyes still held a glint of anger from before.

"What now?" Zander asked again.

"Now, i am going to go and find those murders who killed my father and lay waste to them and their temples and schools. Those head mages are going to have to pay." Eliera said, the small spark of anger in her eyes growing into an inferno. Eliera's eyes almost seemed to glow with an orange light.

"But you cant kill them all all by yourself!" Alaura protested.

"Watch me." Eliera said grimly.


*sorry, all i got for now*

Zander yawned at what Eliera said.
"Shes right you know, you cant kill them alone. There are so many mages there" said Zander still yawning.
"You've been there" asked Eliera
"Yup, been and learned there" said Zander
"That means your one of them" said Eliera running towards Zander
"don't push your luck" snapped Zander and cast a spell to stop Eliera from coming closer to him.
"I am your friend, but if you dare betray me, you will have no escape" hissed Zander
"What do you mean?" asked Alaura
"A shape shifter cannot be truly killed. The spirit of the shape shifter can come back here" said Zander then added "that's why it is better for me to risk my life than you."

Eliera's anger flared to its peak. Her fists clenched and her eyes blazed. An unnatural heat emmited from her.

"We shall see if a shapeshifter can truly be killed." Eliera spoke quietly and threatengly.

Zander yawned again, making Eliera's anger flare more than she would have thought possible.

"I would not try it." he said, looking straight at her.

"Oh, but i would." Eliera snarled. The magic bubbled and seethed inside her, eager to be let loose. Another kind of magic, one that came from generations back that she had inherited, was also anxious to show this annoying shapeshifter what it thought of him.

"Eliera, dont!" Alaura called, laying a chill hand on her arm. She gasped in pain and drew her hand back, thrusting it under her other arm. Eliera's skin felt as hot as fire.

"Yes, Eliera, dont. For your own good." Zander said nonchalantly.

That did it. Eliera let all her anger, rage, and magic burst forth. Alaura and Hendrea were thrown back, but Zander remained seated. Eliera smiled wickedly.

"You will know what happens when you mess with the daughter of Remas, one of the most powerful mages that the world had ever seen! The earth cowered at his anger, as it does mine! Those fool mages at the academy had the luck of catching my father by surprise. They will have no such luck with me!" Eliera shouted.

"Eliera! Please, Don't!" Alaura shouted. Eliera ignored her.

Slowly, Eliera raised her hands to the heavens. Her vision was clouded by a blood red haze, but her rage was at its height. Lightning, red, black and white, streaked from the sky. A inferno of white hot fire erupted around her. She glared at Zander with anger and hatred burning in her eyes.

Eliera sent out a hot blast of air, knocking Zander into the air. Another one followed, until Zander finally landed near the remains of the house. She sent one final, terrible blow of air at him, using it as a hammer. She directed the wall of air above his head and sent it crashing down onto him, knocking him out.

Eliera smiled again.

Her rage subsiding, Eliera was able to see with clear eyes. Zander lay in the remains of her old house. Alaura was getting to her feet and walking briskly over to her. Hendrea, too, was getting up and brushing her clothes off.

Eliera glared at Alaura, causing her to stop in her tracks. She turned on her heel and stalked off towards the small stream, casting a spell over the camp so that none of them could follow her.

Eliera sat on the bank of the stream and removed her boots. She brushed her feet against the chill water and lifted her head so that she looked into the heavens.

"I will not fail you. Those mages shall die, by my hand."

Alaura walked over to Zander and helped him to his feet. After what had happened Alaura thought he would be hurt but, he was barly even angry.
They moved back to the fire and sat down slowly looking at each other and at Eliera.

'She has power, more than i thought possible' Zander said quietly as if in thought.

'Yes, she has power and strengh' Alaura said. She stood up and walked to the edge of the camp, nearer to the house.

'You are doing the right thing you know'

Alaura turned to see Hendrea looking at her.

'I need to go back to the city'

'Why? you can't go back there, you will be killed'

'I now know who killed my father, i have to go back and deal my revenge.'

'You would leave Eliera, after everything she has done for you'

Alaura paused looking over at Eliera who still had her back to the group. She smiled.

'No, i will not leave her, but i also cannot let my fathers murderer go unpunished. I will go and find the people who murdered my father, with Eliera and you, if you are willing'

'What then? What about Zander?' Hendrea asked, a frown on her face.

'I don't know. I don't trust Zander but he may be the help we need. I will talk to Eliera and if he wants to come along well, i can't stop him! As for what i will do. I will help Eliera with whatever she want's to do. I just hope she knows that'

As Alaura said that Eliera turned to face her, a small smile on her face.

*I wont be back in the Internet for weeks. So anyone can take over my character. No one can kill him*

Eliera listened to the small group by the fire. They were out of earshot, but she could still hear them. She whistled once.

The small pup emerged from the bush and jumped on her playfully. Eliera smiled slightly and set the pup on the ground. It proceeded to nip at her ankles.

"Ouch, stop that." Eliera said, picking the pup up again. "We need to think of a name for you."

Something the pup did made Eliera sure it was a boy. Maybe it was the walk, maybe the confidence, she wasn't sure.

"So you're a male. Ok, what would be a good name for you...?"

The pup yipped and jumped on her again.

"Hmmm...how's about Scout?" Eliera asked the pup. He wagged his furry little tail and looked up at Eliera. Eliera laughed.

"Ok, scout it is." she said, picking Scout up again.

"...I will help Eliera with whatever she wants to do. I just hope she knows that..." Eliera heard Alaura say. She smiled to herself and turned slightly.

"I've told you before, Alaura, i do not need your help. If you help me you will die, and not by my hands. But who's to say YOU wont need MY help." Eliera called out. Then she got up and walked away, Scout following.

"Where are you going?" Alaura asked, puzzled.

"I'm going to go find those bastards who killed my father, thats where." Eliera said, making her voice carry. She jerked her hand in the direction of the camp and the shield was gone. Now the others were allowed to follow, if they dared.

Hendrea sighed. "I'm going back to the city," she said simply. "Eiliera can kill the murderers, she could die, I don't care. I want to get back to my oracle." and she stood up and followed.

"oh i will get it for you" said Zander and disappeared.
five minutes later he appeared again with the oracle in his hands.
"i cant lift it, why?" said Zander

*Firestalker~ The Oracle is a well in the temple...You can't pick it up, and even if you could with all of your powers, I can't carry it lol *

Hendrea muttered another simple spell to keep her footsteps muffled, but it was still hard to follow Eliera thorugh the woods without the occasional crack of a twig. Hendrea could only pray that she wouldn't be heard.
