Hahaha..I love the shoes too...when I put them on I was just messing around b/c they looked insane w/my jeans but then I realized that they matched my dress...now I adore them.

Actually, she's not just going into the army- she's going to college at the United States Military Academy at West Point...which happens to be the best military academy in the world...and also one of the hardest to get into- especially for girls.

Why would any of you want to go into the army?!?!?!

My brother is in the Air Force, they are all in Korea he is with his wife and his new born son. Are they in Korea for a damn vacation? I think not.

It depends on what specfic job you have in the military, but for those who seek the combat part...
If you like to travel, get and stay in shape as long as your in there, want to learn how to use a gun, fly a jet and operate a battleship: at the risk of war, death, and rarely seeing your family and friends, the miltary is for you.

I am not glorifying the military and I am not going against it.
So why do I warn?
Because it seems like everyone else is too patriotic to say otherwise.

I support our military and I am proud of my sister beyond words. She is going to get the finest education available and become a military translator to serve our country.

However, this thread is getting OT and is running the risk of getting locked, just like the last one. Anyone have anymore pictures?

Yeah it is getting a bit off topic, maybe we should start a thread in the debate board. Oh by the way, joining the military doesn't mean you are patriotic, i'm not patriotic but i'm joining.

Nai, I know the dangers. My cousin was just in Iraq for a little over a year. Trust me, I know the dangers.. But I want to do it. It's almost like a calling.. I just feel like I belong in the army. All of the discipline, the feeling of being a unit in a larger, more powerful mass.. I get a small feeling of that in Marching Band (don't laugh). If I could get into the army.. I know it would be unforgettable. I want to protect and defend my country, and I want to have that discipline.

First time I've ever told anyone of my reasons. Hmm.

Now, so this doesn't count as off topic.. Lol, I'm gonna give you guys some pictures of me to laugh at. No, I haven't taken any new pictures.. But I was saving these, in case I needed to post some.



Me.. trying out braids lol. See, you braid your hair like that when it's wet, then leave it in for a while (I left mine in for a few days), and then when you take the braids out, your hair is crimped. Too bad I didn't get a picture of that frizzy mess lol!



My 14th birthday party.. I cropped it, 'cuz I didn't know if Mesh wanted to be in the picture or not lol. I have another pic with her trying to help me get the box open.. *shakes head and smiles* I take too long to open my presents. Finally, everyone there just started ripping it open for me!
