Kiss my tears goodnight (nee double dad) has FINALLY been posted 2 chapters at a time. Yay! Cos every-one's been whinging about it, lol.
The originals of these chapters were really bad, so I re wrote them completely different, which is why these might be a bit fragile in places. But, as always, tell me what you think! ;)

Chapter 8 RICKS GIRL

I let the note slip from my hands. It floated to the ground with the gentle nature Corrie never possessed. I put my head in my hands and tried to forget the rest of the world. She was all that mattered.

How could she do this to us?

How could she do this to me?

Doesn't she know the stress she's putting me through?

For Christs sake! Why does the world have to revolve around her?

She's just like her bloody mother!

And here I thought I'd raised her better!

Chapter 9 CLAUDETTE'S NIECE

"What are we going to do?" I asked into the silence. I found it hard to believe how much Corrie resembled Celeste with this act of selfishness and immaturity. This was simply inexcusable.

The silence thrived for quite some time until Rick's new lady spoke.

"Go after her." she suggested.

I shook my head.

"Where would she be?" I asked.

"Adelaide." The woman replied quickly, in a tone that expressed how stupid she thought I was. So, more of a come-back than anything, I said:

"Or Sydney."

Rick drew back a little in pain when my words hit his ear drums. The mention of Corrie choosing Austin over him was like a dagger to his chest or a bite to his exposed and fragile flesh.

"Hopefully," he muttered to himself. "She's in Adelaide."

"Well," I began. "Give her a night. In the morning, after a good hearty meal, try calling someone she may visit. A friend for instance."

"Kitty." Rick said, nodding.

I didn't know Kitty personally, but I assumed she would be a wise choice for getting in touch with Corrie.

There were no more words that had to be said, so I stood up and walked out of the room. I needed to prepare a bed for my visitors.

Looks good. Your Grammar looks great. The way you write draws me in far enough that I cant stand it when it stops. Gah!

Waiting for more

Nice grammer and word choice. Your sentences connected well and thus I didn't need to push myself to read it.

Though, it's a bit short and I don't know what is happening next.

Mind expanding more on the story hon?

Hey, Lucy. :) At least we finally got some more of this, even if it wasn't that much. You had good grammar and spelling the whole time through, so there was just one or two complaints.

She was all that mattered.

This isn't technically wrong, but he thinks this (Or I think he thinks this), and then one or two of those thoughts sounds very self centred. That might just be a wording issue though.

The second part to it was pretty much perfect. A little more description could flesh it out some though. :)

Either way, it was still enjoyable. I'll look forward to the next part.

I didn't notice any mistakes or anything, and you're writing is...aluring? For lack of a better word. I don't know the plot, but I like these 2 chapters.

Well firstly this here.

She was all that mattered.

How could she do this to us?

How could she do this to me?

Doesn't she know the stress she's putting me through?

For Christs sake! Why does the world have to revolve around her?

She's just like her bloody mother!

And here I thought I'd raised her better!

Should be in italics.

You've a great skill Luc to keep people reading with these short but well written chapters. Only problem I believe is one I pointed out.
We get off to the rhythm of the trigger and destruction. Fallujah to New Orleans with impunity to kill. We are the hidden fist of the free market.
We are the ink, we are the quill.

OK, this was good, though still rather short....but I need to stop complaining about that!!!

I agree with WC13, your writing is very alluring. However, everything feels a little....spaced out and slow. I'd like....MORE. More descriptions; colours, smells etc. You can do it, as this proves it:
It floated to the ground with the gentle nature Corrie never possessed.

So more of this writing would be great.

Keep it up!
