*hope you got the idea*

Ladreal galloped with the others.
"Now that i told you about me, tell me about you" said Ladreal.
"not much to say. We were sent by the high lord to burn down the villages and kill as many as we can. The high lord made us look like elf's with his magic and told us that burning the villages would make the humans fight against the real elf. The other races get caught in the middle and are forced to fight. When large amounts of fighters from the elf's, humans and other races are lost we charge in and kill the surviving. Making us the last race to live. We also own everything" replied the captain smiling.
"Oh i get it" replied Ladreal
i hope the others are fine without me. they have a lot of things they should know. Thought Ladreal If only i could send a message to their minds, but I've got a feeling I'm watched and my feelings never lie

Falcon

The day wore on and, as usual, I found that I was bored. Spending a few hours in a tavern is all very well but when you spend days and days in there, it's dull. Oh sure, Bill kept my glass full and, when he had the time, we discussed the latest news but most of it I already knew. There was one piece of information though. Around five, Bill began the tale.

"So there's this fortress right," Bill talked in an animated voice full of feverish excitement which caught my attention straight away. Gone was his serious, melancholy tone and here was a new, fresh, vibrant man.
"A fortress?" I prompted.
"Yeah. Where the leader of the invasion lives and, right now, the king's best assassins are on their way there to break in and kill him."
"Where did you hear this?" I asked.
"From one of the officers. Apparently the place is haunted," Bill replied.
"Where's the fortress?"
"A few miles East. You're not thinking of going are you?" The grave voice was back and Bill scowled at my rash behaviour. I smiled in return and nodded before tossing him a few coins and stalking out of the Tavern. If nothing else, it would be an adventure.

Ladreal woke up in the night. Without making a noise he put one of his poisons in all the water and other drinks. Ladreal then sneaked out of the camp towards the fortress. He reached the town near the fortress. Then entered the tavern. He sensed a well trained life force. Eager to meet it he walked through the tavern exposing his swords and walked towards the barman.
"anyone you know who can kill?" Ladreal asked
"I might" replied the barman
"Do you?" asked Ladreal showing his sword to the barman
"That table" replied the barman pointing at the table at the far edge .
"Wait" the barman aid and spoke to a boy who ran out of the tavern.

I scowled at the man before me before eyeing him up. His physique and stance fit with that of a fighter but it was clear to the trained eye that his business followed different paths. I nodded at his proposal and turned to the boy that Bill employed.
"You can leave us now Nargon and ask Bill to bring some ale across."
"Yes miss," The child agreed and I tossed him a few coins.

I took a seat at a table not far from the bar and we sat in silence while Bill brought us our drinks.
"Just call if you need anything else," Bill said, making his way back to the bar. I nodded and turned to the stranger.
"Alright. I'm listening."

Karana parted the leaves. They were outside of a small town on the edge of the fortress.

"Do you suppose Ladreal is somewhere in the vacinity?" she asked.

Her companion shrugged.

"It can't hurt to investigate. Let's go."

"Yeah so what?" she replied
"I am one of them and offering you to help me" said Ladreal
"Whats in it for me" she asked
"Gold, lots of gold" replied Ladreal
"How do i know your not lying?" she asked
"Persistent aren't you" said Ladreal smiling then said "the fortress has a large treasury. Four rooms filled with gold. Just think of it"
"Call me falcon, Tell me more about this... mission?" Falcon said

"There isn't much more to tell," The man replied, "There are two other assassins working with me, the fortress is very well guarded and there may be an element of magic involved."
"Sounds like my sort of challenge. What do you call yourself?"
"Ladreal," He replied.
"Ah. I know that name. Well we're in agreeance then," I decided, standing and holding out my hand. Ladreal smiled and we shook on the deal.

"Bill," I called out.
"Yeah Falcon?" Came the reply.
"I'm heading out. I got work to do so don't hold my room okay?"
"Okay. You need any knives?" Bill hissed s he reached our table. Absent midedly I ran my hands along my body, over many hidden weapons and counted them.
"One of my poisonous daggers is out for repairs and I'm missing a throwing blade. I had a little trouble retrieving it," I mused when my check was complete.

Bill nodded thoughtfully and headed into the back room. I could just hear the creak of a lever as Bill went further into the dephs of the pub, into his small armoury and then it wasn't long before he returned with two knives and a bag of food.
"You taking a horse?" Bill asked as I slotted the weapons into place. I turned to Ladreal who nodded.
"Choose between mist and Thunder," Bill suggested.
"Okay," I replied, handing over a generous amount of coins and then leaving the Tavern.

She saw Ladreal leave a tavern with a strange woman. Silently, she made her way briskly towards them, hoping to get some answers.

"Ladreal!" Karana called.

Both of them turned around.

"One of the assassins i was talking about" replied Ladreal
"She doesn't look like an assassin" said Falcon smiling
"Want to bet?" asked Karana
"Where are the others" asked Ladreal

"Ara is searching for you. We split up," The woman replied, purposefully ignoring me as I studied her features. She appeared to be about twenty one but I knew this age was as false as the one that people put to my name. Golden hair cascaded past ears which were distinctly pointed but several human features gave away her blood line and I found her age hard to determine.

"What is her name?" I asked of Ladreal, interrupting the conversation that had begun between them.
"Who are you to ask a question like that?" The woman demanded, finally taking in my appearance. I was surprised to see that she did not flinch at my complexion, that she recognised a dark Elf and yet she did not fear me.
"This is Falcon. She will be joining us, Karana," Ladreal explained, purposefully mentioning both names.
"And I suppose that is Ara?" I asked, noticing a woman with clear, blue eyes and and brown hair.

Karana waved for Ara to join them. "Yes, that is Ara."

As Ara made her way towards them, Karana looked Falcon over with careful eyes. "So, you decided to join us at the Fortress? Interesting."

Ara finally stepped up to them. They were all together, finally...

"Ara, this is Falcon. She will be coming with us," Karana explained.

I inspected the new girl with a mild curiosity before nodding my greeting.
"Another... person... is always... helpful," The young woman hesitated as she took in my appearance.
"If they know what they're doing they are. Shall we go find this Fortress?" I asked, noting that both women had the right stance and posture for battle.

"I know where it is," Ladreal replied, "it's getting in that's difficult."
"Do we have a map of the Fortress and the surrounding areas?"
"Of course," Karana snorted, pulling one out.
"It's the magic we're having trouble with," Ara admitted.
