"I have a better idea," Heather said.

"Oh? And what might that be?" Alice raised an eyebrow but the group stopped and gathered around eagerly.

"Let's split up!" Heather suggested enthusiastically. Everyone's jaws dropped and their faces fell.

"And you're normally the sensible one," Scipio muttered.

"Come on, the faster we move, the quicker we'll find it,"Bella emphasised and they set off again, walking quickly around each corner, throwing open every door they came to but still they could not find the core.

"What will the core look like anyway?" Jordan asked.

"It will be a big core-like room," Alice replied.

They continued on, their feet shuffling nearly silently across the floor.

"We must be getting close," Scipio whispered.

"We are," Alice replied, "I remember how to sense it."

"How?" Bella asked slightly confused, "we've all been there before."

"I've been there twice, once to blow the Pensword up."

She laughed at the memory.

Bella chuckled and smacked Alice playfully in the back of the head.

Bella then got writers block.

Nutty watched adam go, her armor shedding off.
"Umm... Adam?"
Nutty realised adam had forgotten that without the added power, Nutty couldn't move. Or breathe.
"Uh..." Nutty slowly turned purple while trying to find the scale which contained the spork.
Finally, she flicked it out and teleported to where she sensed the others.

"Someone's about to teleport here!" Heather exclaimed, stepping back from a door she had been about to open and pulling Bella out of the way just as Nutty materialised.

"Hey Nutty, how's the fight going?" Alice asked casually.

"Well Adam and Elisandro are battling and this ship is about to destroy the YWS space station so not too well. Do you have any idea where the core is yet?" Nutty asked, her eyes scanning the corridoor and the many doors that hung open along it. Most of the group shook their heads but Scipio, who had slipped past Nutty and entered the next room, walked back towards them with a wide grin on his face and stood in the door-way.

"Everyone, welcome to the core." The group spilled into the room and stared at the large cylinder that took up most of the room stretching from ceiling to floor and surrounded by pipes, shields and pulsing energy balls.

"What are those?" Jordan asked.

"Trouble," Bella replied, pulling Jordan to the floor as the nearest energy ball dived towards them. It passed over their heads and hit the metal wall of the room, sending sparks in every direction.

"Holy crap!" Jordan exclaimed as the ball whizzed past again.

"Shh!" Bella said, looking around at the others, all of whom had fell to the floor. "I think they're sensitive to sound," she continued slowly. As to test this, she pulled a small pebble out of her pocket and threw it across the room.

There was a small clunk as the stone hit the floor.

The ball that was moving toward her immediatly swung around toward where the pebble had hit.

Next, Bella pulled a grenade out of her pocket. Alice reached out for it.

"No, this is my last one," Bella mouthed, holding it away from Alice. "Good way to blow up the core, no?"

Alice thought for a moment, "yeah, pull it throw, and then run!" she said.

Bella pulled the pin out and threw it, it made a clang as it hit the floor and the balls rushed towards it.

"Run!" she shouted pulling herself and anyone within reach to her feet. The energy balls followed. She pulled out her favorite dagger, the only one she had left, and threw it towards the grenade. The sound brought the energy balls wizzing back just in time for it to explode.

As the blast reached them they slammed the door shut, containing it inside and away from them.

"I lost my favorite knife," Alice said pittifuly.

Adam looked back as the Spamm Starr started to shudder, the lights were going off all over the ship and explisions were rocking it back and forth.

"No!" Screamed Elisandro, "I will crush you! I will crush this entire Galaxy!" his power surged and grew, extending far beyond what his body could handle.

"Brother!" Adam called, " please listen to reason, stop this madness!"

"You will all die!"

"I won't let you!" Adam summoned all his strength, this was it, now or never. He flew through the space, dodging the bursts of energy from Elisandro. It had to be perfect, no mistakes. Around and around he went, scattering glimmers of light around the monster of a man.

"Die you wretched speck!" a blast of darkness knocked Adam away, but he was ready.

See ya around guys, he thought to his friends. In a flash Adam sped forth, faster than ever before, straight for Elisandro. the black demon exterior growing in size. Straight as an Arrow Adam pierced the beast's gut.

Elisandro doubled over in pain, blood floating out into space. "What are you doing...fool....Ahhhh!"

Adam released himself, everything he had poured from him like a broken fountain of everlasting light. Elisandro exploded, the light from Adam consuming him.

"NOOOOO!!!!!"

As quickly as it came, the light was gone, leaving no Elisandro and no Adam.

Heather

"What did he mean by that?" Heather asked, fear touching her voice as the group all stood, huddled together. And then suddenly there was action.

"Alice, get back to the ship and run a life-form search for Adam, Bella and Jordan go with her. Scipio, you too," Nutty decided, the group nodding in approval and setting off to take up their positions. "We'll leave Matt and Rick to take out the last few of Elisandro's people. Heather, think your sword has enough power to teleport you a few places?" Heather nodded slowly. "Good, you're with me then. We'll try to make a sweeping search of where the explosion took place. Oh and Alice, when you've finished the search, take a ship, grab some suits and come join us."

"Right!" Alice called back.

"Right," Heather agreed and off they went, seperating and beginning the search for their friend and captain.

Adam, if this means you're dopping out you are ddddddeeeeeaaad you're coming back! Remember what total hell the Highwind was in when I was the captian?!

Alice pushed the buttons right and twisted all the nobs and levers, no sign of Adam anywhere

"Oh God no," she breathed. She didn't want to admit what she knew was true. Adam was gone.

At least from here, this area and this plain. But she was living proof that people could overcome death. Adam could too. Adam deserved it more than she did. They'd find a way to get him back.

But after she had her histerical crying epsoide.

Gives Alice a Cookie. Do you really think I would leave you alone with my ship? In the words of Albus Dumbledore, "We always have a choice."

Adam slowly opened his eyes, the lights were intense and made it hard to see. Shapes were starting to form, people.

"Wake up, Adam."

"Who's there?" He pushed himself up, trying to focus his eyes.

"Don't worry about that sweetie, just get up. We have a lot to do before you have to go."

"What? I can't even see you, What's going on?" He felt himself being lifted to his feet, a soft hand grabbing his and leading him. Step after step he took, still unable to see anything.

Thank God!

Alice addressed the crew. "Guys..." she took a deep shaky breath, "Adam is...dead or missing."

She wasn't quite sure what she expected from the rest of the crew.

"So what do we do?" Scipio asked, easing the tension building inside Alice.

"We find him. I refuse to believe that he's gone forever."

Adam, it's a good thing you told her that because I already tried and I thought she was gonna eat me too >.<


Bella laughed at Alice, not even slightly worried.

"Alice, dear, it's Adam! You and I both know that Adam is practically immortal!" Jordan stood next to Bella, observing the rest of the crew in silence.

"Yeah, but...but...he's gone!"

"This is true. And that's why we're here. Someone has to go get him again, right?"

The brightness was beginning to fade, the shadows of people growing more distinct and clear. "Please, tell me what is going on?"

"You're almost there, dear, all will be explained in time." Adam was so lost, e just followed along, too unsure to argue. He could feel steps going upwards under his feet, they were clear enough Ada could see them, making it easy to get up them.

"I call our key Witness in this matter," rang a rich a powerful voice, "Adam, Citizen of the Atlantis."

"Huh?" Adam's eyes focused, he was in a massive chamber, filled with people, all clad in the same angelic robes. Sitting center stage to it all was Elisandro.

"Ya. But there's not much we can do now is there?" Alice said. "We're all exausted and need food and a good nights rest."

Everyone hearitly agreed.

Matt and Rick went off to cook. Under Alice's orders Nutty went to take a nap. Bella and Jordan went to go read. So only Heather, Scipio, and Alice were left on the bridge. Not quite sure what to do.
