Something totally screwed up, without a title

The hard cave floor was more comfortable than she imagined it to be. She soon fell asleep. While she slept she dreamed of the man who called her.

He was standing over her, but she couldn't tell what he looked like. He brought out a ceromonial dagger. When she ran he followed, she ran through the woods but he was gaining on her. Where was Alles's cave? She couldn't find it.

His hand gripped her arm and spun her around. She screamed as he brought the blade down.

"Ah!" She screamed and shot up breathing heavily. "What the hell does he want with me?" She asked to whoever was awake.

A small field mouse skurried up onto the girl's chest, and transformed into a cat, covering Emily's mouth before she could scream.

"I'm bored." Yaola complained.

Emily sighed and lay back down, her arms behind her head.

"She's too afraid to go back to sleep because of the dream she just had, whatever that was." Yaola figured. She gave a great cat yawn and sat on Emily's chest, watching her.

When Emily didnt do anything to satisfy Yaola's boredom, she hopped off her chest and began to change into different forms, finding some sort of satisfaction in her skills.

Emily sat up and began watching Yaola.
"Can you transform into anything?" she asked.

Yaola nodded.
"Just about."

Yaola continued changing forms until she got tired. Then she changed back to her human form and sat crosslegged next to Emily.

"I'm going to bed. G'night." Yaola announced suddenly, after about two minutes. She went back to the small bed she made and went to sleep.

Emily turned to face the fire, why would anyone care so much about killing her? Why would anyone want to in the first place? She was wide awake now, but according to her watch the darkest time of night. Even if she wanted to go home she couldn't, she felt strangely safe around these guys.

After a few more minutes of turmoile trying to sleep Alles sat next to her. "Who's trying to kill you?"

"I don't know who or why. God, what's so special about me? Or is it not just me? Could it be a serial killer or something? God damnit, I hate this shit."

"I should be out," said Alles. He didn't dare leave Emily. She was far to...important. But why!?

Why was she so important!? What about her made him feel so...differenet?

"So whay are you staying?" asked Emily.

"Can I try something?"

"What?"

"A meditation process. It might help us identify who wants you dead" Alles closed his eyes and focused. He wanted to see more than her attacker.

Emily looked at Alles, his face held more focus than anything she had ever seen. Even from the immortal beings. He was focusing on what ever he was looking at for a long time.

She soon started to feel drowsy again, she laid down and fought to keep her eyes open. She lost. She fell asleep and dreamed again.

Her dream was different this time, she wasn't running in the woods, she was in the cave waiting for Alles. The same man came up to her, her powers didn't work on him. Why didn't they? Crap. She got up and ran as fast as she could.

It wasn't like one of those dreams where you run and run and never get anywhere. She moved, so much slower than he did, but she moved.

He grabbed her arm again, but this time pain beyond all belief filled her. His hand seemed to be made of fire. She screamed as her knees gave out. He was going to kill her, painfully. This was just his warnings.

"Emily!" she was being shaken. Her eyes opened to see Alles holding onto her shoulders. "Emily can you hear me?"

"Yes, i can hear you, I'm fine."

Alles couldn't see the attackers face but it was more than a dream. He was real. He couldn't find her physical body so she was going after her mind.

"How can I sleep?"she asked, "he's always there waiting for me..."

It was a wonder everyone else was still sleeping. With all of Emily's screaming they all slept soundly.

Alles moved around the room and twisted a few rocks into place. A faint sound echoed across the cave walls and a wall of light formed against the walls before fading back to normal.

"Now you may sleep. This will keep you safe. Tomorrow we will venture and fin dthis man who keeps coming afer you."

"Alles, I don't really want to find him. Why would I?"

"Because he's trying to kill you."

"Exactly, why am I looking for somebody who wants to kill me?"

He sighed and sat next to her, "would you rather live the rest of your life in fear?"

"I'd rather- Oh screw it, if he's going to kill me he kills me, the pain would end then. I don't give a crap anymore."

"You must!" cried Alles, "The elves once had a great kingdom until oneday a mysterious man came. The entire kingdom fell to a spell and died except for me because I was in the human world."

"So."

"I think you can restore my people, at least...go to the realm of elves with me."

"What?! the realm of the elves?! I'd rather take my chances with my killer thank you."

"You can't! If you die everything will go to hell! Literally!"

"What the hell?" she rose to her feet, she staggered a little bit but steadied herself. "What the hell am I supposed to do? I just turned twenty one today! I haven't even mastered some of the easiest spells!"

"But you do you have the power to save us all," Cheri said rising from her sleep. Emily rolled her entire head.

"This is way too much! I have to get out of here!"

Emily ran for the cave door. Alles wanted to stop her but he couldn't. It was her choice to help them and if she didn't want to...there was nothing he could do about it.

"Are ya just gonna let her go like that?!" said Cheri.

"I have no choice." whispered Alles.

"Perhaps not, but we can protect her at the very least. She's in danger." Everyone was awake now. They snuck behind Emily. dead quiet. Keeping an eye on her.

They just hoped they could save her if they ahd to.

Emily ran faster than she ever had before. She ran out of the woods and into the early morning city. She moved so fast that they had a hard time keeping up with her.

She turned corner after corner trying to lose them. When she felt she did she settled herself in a corner in an alley.

Alles stood atop the building and looked down upon Emily. He told the others to keep watch for any signs of an attacker. The shapshifters had become birds and circled the city.

Cheri was small enough to hid and keep an eye on Emily as well.

Emily pulled on her magic, she felt everyone else around her, and she did not like it. Using her magic she teleported away. She didn't know where she went until she looked around, she had only moved two blocks over.

She walked down the still dark street, if this was the chance her killer was waiting for she wanted him to take it. She wanted to stare him in the face and tell him to go to hell.

She didn't get the demented freakoid who tried to kill her, just the run of the mill drunken ass hole.

Alles leapt to the next building, glancing down to try and see Emily.

Where are you? A scream broke the morning silence. Alles leapt to the streets and ran towards the source. Everyone was converging on the scream.

Emily was fighting off a drunk. He made a grab for her butt. He rank breath making Emily's nose crinkle. HE took his bottle and smashed it over his head. he droped the ground unconcious.

"Are you okay?" asked Alles.

"I told you to stay the hell away from me!" Emily made a run for it again.
