The same can be said for you as for me-
originality has never existed, merely
different forms of the same ideas repeated
again and again, for the amusement
of the masses. But with twisting words
and deceptive verbs, how far will the truth
stretch to encompass logic, and once
truth and logic are so impossibly combined,
where then will reality reside, amidst
this undefinable chaos?
Stretched to the limit, nothing
will be beyond our reach- if you can say it,
then it is out there, somewhere amongst
that black infinity just beyond your fingertips.
Close your eyes, and there it will be. Everything
you ever wanted, if you can but reach far
enough to snag that ever-illusive light,
that patch of color that is gone as soon
as you have glimpsed it.
And perchance one day you stumble upon
a Bethlehem of your very own design,
where eternity is what you make of it and
truth is only real so long as logic and
truth are amiable.
The glow of the star would be invisible
beneath the streetlights, but just because you
cannot see it doesn't mean that it's not there...
your very own Jesus-star.
Like a firefly, it's illumination is fleeting,
and as soon as you have grasped the state
of eternal enlightment, you will find that
your Jesus-star is not true, and that the
industrialization has raped your Bethlehem
of all her beauty, as these streetlights so
adequately rape the truth.
