Well, this is a discussion thread for the jolly old pirates and chaps of the Royal Navy.

EDIT: A link to the actual story thread -- Piracy

Note to Sam - in 1700 there were no uniforms in the Royal Navy. Kinda ruins your post a little ...

*shrugs* I needed conflict. There wouldn't have been many Poles in England, anyway, but eh. If it were purely historical, we'd need a few weeks to prepare.

Anyway...I think it's going well. *runs off to read the new posts*

Yeah. Can we sort of bend the historical part of it for now? As much as I love researching stuff like this, I'm a bit lazy and a bit busy and I think we'll all just have more fun if we don't point out each other's historical mistakes. :)

But ... that ruins my fun. Nah, as long as people get in generally correct, that'll be fine. Although nobody would be using wheellock pistols at this time, for all who put that down.

Flintlock's all right, I think? Or rather, I hope. ^_^

Yeah, I'm pretty sure those were around then.

Flintlock was the main weapon around then, muskets, pistols, blunderbusses, cannons, cannonades, rifles, etc.

Sorry, I find it hard to get out of history-mode. I just don't want it to start getting totally out of period.

Yeah, I didn't feel like making a new character, so I just pulled Burke out of a previous storybook, wheel locks and all.
Got YWS? I do.

Where is everyone's characters at the moment? Only it would help me plan my next post. Amelia is a day or two away from Antigua.

A pirate needs to go after Juliek, hint hint. If no one plans to, I can get out of this mess singlehandedly- but it's more fun with an antagonist, no?
