The familiar face descends,
As the heart races.
Trying to make amends,
Trying to explain the cases.

She can't know why,
Or the reason they will not allow.
She seeps into the sky,
And demands the answers now.

A dark love among the close,
A deadly charade among dances.
She feels strangely verbose,
As the sound in her throat prances.

She weeps in befogged agony.

ooh. I like it! It's very pretty.

I liked the last two stanzas the most, "verbose" being such a pretty word, and the last really capturing it over all.

It was beautiful, it felt like a dance. The only thing I suggest it putting it to a rhythm... or don't, I think it would survive without. I just like structure.

Or the reason it will not allow.
Or the reason (comma?) it will not allow. What is "it", and this line also doesn't make too much sense to me.

A dark love among the close
what is "the close"?

I'd do more, but I'm being kicked off...Hope I helped!

I changed 'it' to 'they,' as it made more sense, or as much sense as this poem can be allowed to make. :) Thanks for the feedback, Claudette. :D

More than anything she wanted the world to be uncomplicated, for right and wrong to be as easily divided as the black and white sections of an Oreo. But the world was not a cookie.
