Hmm... Sounds like a fantasy character.
Some village-dweller that the main character meets in his wanderings. Maybe she's introduced at the same time as dozens of other villagers and isn't noticed at first. She wears plain-colored, homespun dresses, but she stands out because of her skill with horses. She has long, light-brown--almost blonde--hair that flies out behind her attractively when she rides at full gallop.
An aristocratic english gentleman. Black hair, tall, thin, half a days worth of facial hair. Likes to hunt. But hides a sinister background. Maybe he killed someone at one point in time...
