In Greek Mythology, Icarus is Daedalus's son, I've been told. When I picture him, though, I see a buff, yet slightly chubby, man. His mother and grandmother are Greek, yet his father is Mexican. He's torn between his two cultures.
Elizabeth Aida
"One voice can be stronger than a thousand voices, " Captain Kathryn Janeway
I like this name a lot, it sounds very pretty and sophisticated. I think Aida is a German name... I imagine a little girl of 9 or 10, small and fragile with wispy blond hair and gorgeous brown eyes. It's some time in the late 30's, and her family moves from Germany to Austria along with Elizabeth's best friend and her family, who are Jews. Eventually, when the Nazis invade Austria, the two families flee to New York together. While Elizabeth is too young to completely understand the political situation, she realizes her best friend could be in great danger and is very frightened for her.

The funny boy next door/class clown. He has reddish brown hair, brown eyes and freckles. He's really nice to everyone, and he's really popular without being an obnoxious jock. His best friend is the pitcher on the school baseball team, and he goes to cheer him on, even though he doesn't have a clue how baseball works, beyond the basics.
An expert in her field, an intellectual. In love with learning about her field. Possibly disliked her name as a child so goes by a nickname. Is very ambitious---wants to be at the top.

I really, really like the name Mikhail. I'm thinking he's the son of a very devout member of the Russian Orthodox Church. He paints ikons, but he secretly wants to run away to America to paint what he feels, not what the church tells him to feel.
Almost reminds me of the girl from [i]Gone with the Wind/i] for some reason. Maybe because the name Stella is a little old fashioned. She's probably Irish too. I'm guessing she's a firce and tempermental girl who knows what she wants and won't stop till she gets in.

Imagination is the one weapon in the war against reality. - Jules de Gaultier
Strikes me as one of those rich and preppy types with the designer clothes and fancy car and latest phone and all of that. Might be shallow or something surprising as someone who actually has functioning brain cells. (no offence intended )

I think she'd be a minor character in a comedy or drama show. A smart and disdainful cop, (because of the word law in her name. She could be a lawyer, but that would be too cliché.) The deeper you look at her, the more angsty her story is, though at first glance she's just kind of distant. A character readers either love or loathe, without middle ground.

Makes me think of a girl in my school; she's incredibly talented at pretty much everything, writing, art, &c., but she's not full of herself and nobody hates her for her talents. She has long brown hair that she wears down and is generally pretty shy and quiet, but still very friendly if someone else approaches her. (Also makes me think of the Scissor Sisters song, but whatever.)
... (*giggles* The part I just played in our school play... her name was Muriel.) A girl who's parents make her wear proper clothes and eat like a proper little girl. She hates it and is always making up plans on running away, which she never fulfills of course. She has bright red hair and green eyes that sparkle in the summer.

Sounds like a cute little Spanish kid, or something. Seems obviously male, with the "o" on the end, I guess I'm just used to it that way. If it were "adda" it would be a girl. Yeah, I think of a little Spanish kid living on a plantation somewhere with green fields and beautiful apple trees. I like the name.

This is just my inner Gundam Seed fan talking, but... XD Empathetic. Good with [her?] hands. Chatty, but knows when to shut up. Perhaps unwilling to be brash/impulsive---weighs every decision before making it.
