Yes, but they don't have human personalities. Animals do not think the same way as humans, and therefore their personalities must be entirely different.

And I am quite sure that none of their languages are English, or Spanish, or whatever language people happen to speak.

They can be (and have been) taught human sign language.

What makes you think that monkeys have different personalities to humans? They can feel much of the same emotions including happiness, sadness, greed, hatred and love. Their personalities are simply relfections of these, just like with humans.

Fine, I admit defeat. I cannot argue against that, as much as I would like to (Although my point was they couldn't speak it). However, this is irrelevant.

I have a point to make...writing involves the imagination; dragons were created BY the imagination. Monkeys are and always will remain REAL, unimaginary. And you guys are talking about how similar monkeys and humans are...what's the point in picking a monkey then? Why don't we just make our mascot a human if they're so close to the same thing? That is all, and I will NOT admit defeat. I am far too stubborn to do that.
