Karm was never one to question life, its meaning or why things happened; he simply floated through each day, as happy as can be just being. It was not and had never been in his interest to discover why he was there. He just simply was, and he did not believe in thinking why. Of course, him thinking this immediately made him wonder why he thought like this. It was not often that Karm found himself in a mind muddle but when he did he found it hard to snap back to reality. But then he would think what was reality, was this mind muddle actually real or was the normal floating through the days his reality? He came to the conclusion, like always, that he was never the one to question life, so he would stop it and go to sleep.
Yoshi on the other hand constantly pondered his whole existence, why was he here, who put him here, could the world he is living in be a simple fragment of his imagination or is what he sees in front of him all that is real. What if the things behind him were not actually there? What if life was only things that you could see and the people around him whom he interacted with were just puppets put there to amuse him during his day? He would admit that these thoughts rarely left his mind, and what with the learning he was receiving at the academy it seemed fitting for him to think about it even more, and that was that.
Kyoto didn’t think about life at all. His mind amused him with silly banter and images of the past. He thought only of the time in present and could safely say that he had never pondered his existence, the existence of others or the existence of the world. It would just confuse him, sending him into a mad twirl of facts and myths which would probably make his brain explode with information that was useless as it could never be answered.
The only reason that all three thought like this was because opinion; and your opinion seems to be what matters. Of course, many theories could be bought forward to each of them, Karm would sigh, Yoshi would think of more things to approve the theory and Kyoto would simply smile. The fact that the whole topic was different to everyone seemed somewhat fascinating to Mr Sinclair. He tapped his pen patiently on the table, closed the philosophy book he was reading and came to the safe conclusion that in Wednesday’s annual discussion, this would be the topic to discus, it was sure to raise a good interest in the pupils. And interest, in Mr Sinclair’s eyes, was the key to success.
