What did you get? What did you want? What Surprised you?

Hey, it's me.

It's Valentines day and I was totally caught off guard because my boyfriend gave me a heart shaped sencted candle even after....
And I was surprised when my friend sent me a carnation because we don't talk at all.

I had a nice time. What did you get? What did you want? What surprised you? (like the title )

What did I get?

-a valentine from niteowl (was hilarious)
-a valentine from Tara (what she wrote was really beautiful)

What did I expect?

I never really expect or want anything from Valentine's Day, even if it's something from a girlfriend. To me this holiday is something that is a convienient way to remind certain people that you love them and/or care about them. And yes some valentines are given just to be sweet, but love and care are the basis. I just i'm a very loyal friend and can be a very loyal boyfriend, I don't need to be reminded that they love me .

But don't get me wrong, I cherish the valentines I do get, but for me I don't need a symbol of love to know that I love them back.

What surprised me?

Every valentine I get surprises me

Nothing.

What did you want?

Well, I didn't expect anything. But I guess it's always nice to have at least something.

What surprised you?

Nothing. Well, my cat jumped on my bed in the morning and scared me. But I don't think that counts.

Same as Jack, I big stinkin' pile of nothing.

It was just another boring, stressful Monday. *shrugs* In truth, that's fine by me.

I was suprised that i got nothing. *lol*

ah, good ol' elementary school where they force you to give valentine's...

I expected candy.

I was surprised by many hugs from the guy I like, who I thought was mad at me..

i got roses from my boyfriend and something but thats a little private, but i expected it.
i got hugs, candy and cards from friends. then we pool our candy together and pig out.

I got nothing.
But one of my friends (who then left the school, typical) asked me what I had got, and when I said nothing, she went and made me a card because she said no one should be without anything on Valentine's day.
But otherwise, from guys, nothing.
