Some of meh ugly- I mean beautiful art

Warning: Do not steal any of my artwork, even though it sucks.

1. This was a sketch that I decided to do on Photoshop and make it colorful and pretty.


2. This was made for a friend, I'm Flyte, and that's my character with her pony dressed as a reindeer. Love them. My coloring skills were a little messy that day, I guess.


3. I hate the girl in this one...yeah, that's the same girl in #2, but chibified.


4. Fairy/angel thing...kinda cute. Made it for a friend.


5. Another fairy thing that I did while bored.


6. My kitties! ...Lineart from google, sadly. I was bored. And yes, there is a scar over the orange one's eye.


7. Another character of mine. Also named Flyte...it's usually my name for things. I have one with more realistic hair, and one without it.

Good! I hope you draw lots, its good practice drawing stuff repeatedly. But repetition can be bad, if you practice wrong that is.
I'd like to see your sketches, they usually offer a bit more insight right now.

The last one offers good design, and your characters don't seem flat, except for number 4, which is good.

The Reindeer Girl's arms are too short, and she is rather lopsided.
Unfortunatly, your style, looks a lot like everyone elses, down to the lines, shape, and even coloring style. But that should change with time, so its nothing to worry about.

Just keep practicing.

My characters don't seem flat? I take that many different ways. Flat, as in 2d forms or whatever, unemotional, not enough color, ect...? Please explain that a bit more to me ( ^-^ sorry about my stupidity of art, I just draw, I don't study it)

...I didn't notice they were short. Thanks for pointing that out! And I know she's lopsided, I almost always draw like that because I have to have the paper tilted a little...I'm getting better though.

Yeah...^-^ I play the flute, and it always seems to be a 'magical instrument' in stories and stuff. I dunno...I just like it. Besides, I can't draw any other instrument ^-^;

Flat art wise. Even though it is a 2d media, people and places can seem 3d, the best works make you want to step in and be there yourself.

Though, not all 2d is bad, if done right, it can look very very nice.

Just sayin'. If you do want to fix it, add more depth by shading, and warping the clothing and features just right. It's hard to explain. Just practice lots and strive to improve, and it'll come.

Haha, that dress was actually a mistake. Well, the design for it was. But...yeah, I like it too.

I also like No. 7's dress. I love how the colouring on the heart looks watercolour-ish.
