Scall's Magic

Ok, so many of you know I am writing a fantasy novel about the progression of two men in the large world of Dovekread where old religion is dying and its magic long forgotten. Dovekread is dominated by a large Empire, rich in wealth and technology, but their strength in magic cannot surpass the young Northern country of Nask where their secrets are hidden. However the Nask's secret came with great consequences which forced their Leader to barter with a very strange character indeed.

Anyway, enough of the vague plot points, I'm on 12k and its working well. I havnt planned it yet the plot hasn't dried up. I have a vague idea of where I am going with it and I have a few themes running through the story now that will be resolved throughout.

Ok, I think I've just written the best scene yet. My characters have entered a secret, dark room where the daggers and scriptures came from. Its really weird and creepy. I love the scene.

Not that anyone cares of course lol...

I've run through a number of your chapters - does that not count as caring ? I'll get round to the other ones you've posted soon.

I still have to find time to read this, technology in fantasy worlds are always interesting and I'd like to see how different it may be. 17K is a lot, well done so far.

Well I have a few things to add in and a few scenes to rewrite. im aiming to transform the 17k I have into something like 20 -25k.
