(Is this in character with Rin? If not, I'll change it.)

Seriena looked over her shoulder. She had been watching her three victims, when she heard a eery wolf howl. Seriena knew that howl.

Dropping noiselessly to the ground from her perch in the tree, she wasted no time, and immediately sprinted in the direction of the howls.

After running for about a half an hour, she finally found some tracks. She bent closer to the ground, tracing her finger around one of the large wolf's tracks. But there was more than one, she noticed. She looked at the numerous tracks but couldn't put an exact number to them, fifteen or more, she concluded, before continuing her running.

Finally she spotted him, his thick, inky black fur and blazing red eyes distinguished him from the rest of the others, whose coats were a dingy gray or brown, with perhaps a black spot or two. He looked in perfect form.

So, she mused, he hasn't fallen out of shape since I last saw him. The corners of her soft lips turned up slightly, a rare show of emotion. He was saying something to his pack, and they seemed to have understood, because they dispersed, paired of into two's or three's, and started to gallop away. She pursed her lips.

A shrill, piercing whistle shot through the ears of the animals, and they whined slightly, the loud noise ringing in their ears. The noise did not stop until Rin turned around and baring his dagger-like teeth, trotted towards where the sound was coming from.

"Hello Rin," said Seriena coolly, as she stepped from behind the tree into view. The other wolves eyed her suspiciously, as if wondering why their oh-so-holy leader would want to associate with a human woman.

Despite being a wolf, Rin could still speak in human tongue. He eyed his pack and shook his head. During their brief run through the forsest, Rin and his pack had gotten 15 more wolves to join in. When he shook his head, the 15 newcomers appeared behind Seriena.
"So Seriena. Have you come to kill me or what? If you decide too, let me just tell you this. Our quarell is not with you. And if don't mind, we will be on our way to Tearbed. Excuse us." Rin said to Seriena. He and his pack started to move and ran away as fast as they could towards Tearbed. His pack was making good time. Rin was in the middle of the pack being protected by the others. He had a slight doubt that Aro would be in Tearbed but he couldn't be sure. He would just need to find out.

Meanwhile, In the caves below the river, The trio packed up for their trip.
Aro, chose a section of the cave where neither Zelles nor Alex could see him, shedded his clothes and dove into the water. He washed himself thoroughly, the cold water calming him as it ran through his hair. He emerged momentarily in the cave, inhaling a deep breath, and making sure there was no one around. He then doev back under water, sumberging himself in the darkness. The rumors of him working with Rin so long ago were not a lie. He was out for revenge, one he could never grasp. The pressure of the water oushed down on his head, reminding him not to breath. He had almost found himself in a trance like state, thinking of times of the past, the present, and some of the future. He let his body go limp in the water, its calming sensation enchanting him. At first when his mind slipped out of reality. He was haunted by gruesome thoughts of dark waters. Back to the days that Maii used to be alive. He remembered the trinkling sound of the water form the falls pouring into the great lake behind Auron, Aro's hometown. "I bet you I can hold my breath longer than you Aro!" His sister used to yell, to him as she jumped off the falls. Aro smiled, his younger sister was so carefree, and innocent. THe six year old head, emerged above the waters, gasping for breath. Once again she had beaten him, Which usually made Aro beg for a rematch. He didn't like getting beaten by girls, especially those three years younger than him. A day in specific came to mind. The new kid in town, Rin, had become good friends with Aro. There wasn't much different about him, except the fact he had red eyes. Aro finally decided that he would show him the secret swimmign spot, the one his sister and him played in so often. Rin accepted, and followed Aro. That day when they were swimming. Aro's sister trotted in. Even though Aro didn't know it, she had a major crush on Rin. "I bet I can hold my breath longer than both of you!" His sister bragged, puffing out her chest and slamming her fists into her hips. Aro and Rin took the challenge, One that Aro wished he never took. On the count of three, all of them went underwater, pushing there way lowere and lowing. Aro came up first, twenty something seconds after they had started. He waited for an eternity before either of them emerged. After the longest minute of Aro's life, Rin emereged, gasping for breath. "There is a boy, in the water! He came up from the depths and grabbed ahold of Maii!" Rin said frightenedly. Aro dove in, afraid that Rin's stories were true. As soon as Aro opened his eyes, he could see his sisters figure, struggling for air. Covering her mouth, was a boy, not elf nor human, but a merman. He was smiling a wicked smile, his hand firmly clenched over her mouth. Aro and Rin swam as fast as they could, trying to free his sister. She stopped fighting the merman, bubbles of air rushing up from her mouth he grabbed her leg and started pulling her deeper. Aro swam harder than he ever had before, her limp arm alomst within reach. Then with a tug, the merman pulled her down faster than Aro could swim, his fishlike tail givnig him the adavntage. Aro kept swimming until she disapeared in the dark waters. He swam to the surface, his heart crushed. Rin emerged next to him.
"What can we do?" Rin asked, wading next to Aro.
Between sniffles, Aro said the only thing he could think of. "Nothing, she's gone."
Rin gave him a hard slap upside the head. "We have to get help dummy!" He swam quickly towards the edge of the pond, and threw on his clothes. Aro gave on last look down into the depths, only to see, his sisters necklace float up to the surface. Upon it was the elven symbol for sister made entirely of wood. Aro picked it up, and clutched it tightly. "I will avenge you." He whispered almost to the necklace, mostly to himself. "Even if its the last thing I do."

Aro snapped back to reality, clutching at the necklace around his neck. That's was the day his life changed. Because of hsi sisters death, Aro joined up with Rin to get a bounty of a kidknapper. The one who took his sister. Because of taking up his job as a boutny hunter, he killed a man who was competing for the merman's head. Because of Aro being convicted as a murderer, he promised himself he would never kill again, making him give up on finding his sister. Because he gave up on his sister, Rin realized how weak he was, and took the bounty upon Aro's head as a murderer. Because Rin took up the bounty on Aro's head, he had to leave the elves. Lastly, because he left he elves, he momentarily had to become a theif to survive.

Such a long change of actions led him to being where he was now, laying relaxed in a rushing river. THe last couple of days must of been the best in his life. For the first time ever, their was someone there for him to rely on, someone their for him to talk to. Someone there he could love. He smiled, Alex had to of been the best thing that had happened to him in a while, and he wasn't even sure if she liked him back. He swam back up to the surface, fleeing the dark waters. THe cave echoed by the voices of Alex and Zelles. They were looking for him. He hurried inot his clothes and yelled out "I'm over here!" and heard footsteps rush towards him. It was good to be cared about.

Coming out of the mouth of the cave, Alex finally found Aro, he had been swimming, because his blonde hair was damp. His dark blue eyes seemed to turn a mysterious inky black whenever he touched water, she noticed.

He was so handsome. She had to look away, and could feel heat rising to her cheeks. She hoped he couldn't read her thoughts.

Zelles appeared and walked to them, glancing at them curiously.

(Seriena)

Suddenly Rin turned around and eyed her suspiciously.

"Is there any particular reason for this meeting?" He growled.

Seriena crossed her arms and smiled slightly.

"Rin," She said smoothly, the word slipping out of her mouth like golden honey, "There's no need to get defensive. We go way back, don't we?"

Rin looked impatient.

"Fine," she said, losing the honey-coated speech, her eyes darkening, "I'm going to get straight to the point. We both want the same thing."

His wolfish eyebrow's wrinkled. Seriena sighed.

"Therigan. We both want Therigan dead. Perhaps for different reasons...but with the same results."

Rin clenched his jaw, he was thinking, but what, Seriena could not predict.

Slyly, she did something she thought she would never do. Cautiously, she probed his mind, trying to read his thoughts. But he was blocking her, and she sighed impatiently.

"There is no use for us both to try, and I believe I have more of a reason to."

Rin narrowed his eye's, and she did likewise.

"I will kill him." She hissed, waiting for Rin's next words.

Zelles eyed Alex suspsiously, searching her eyes. he saw love, trust, and something he hadn't seen in years. A sign tinge of nobelity. He smiled, for once Aro had been right. "Are we ready to Go to Tearbed yet?" Zelles asked, rubbing the sheath of his sword with impatience.
Aro stood up and shaked his hair like a dog, "Yes, yes, We can leave."
He looked at Alex, her cheeks pinker than normal. He jogged back to camp momentarily, making sure they hadn't left anything behind. Upon one of the rocks near the fire was his bo staff. He picked it up, gave it a few twirls and jogged back towards Zelles and Alex. "If we come across any danger one the trip I think you should have this." He gave the staff to Alex. "I thought a sword might be a little too bloody for a maiden as fair as yourself." He laughed, and she replied with a snicker.
"May we get going?" Zelles asked, looking to both Alex and Aro.

Therigan pushed open the giant wooden doors at the great hall of Tearbed. In his throne sat Zemora, the fortune teller. "You sent for me about Bezzelthorg, Ferquzo, and Lorgzoh? Hurry up I am a busy king." He nodded to his guards, whom stood side by side his throne.
"They have called to me." Zemora said, moving her hands like the wind, her jewelry jingling in every direction. "I need a table Therigan, otherwise, I can not show you." Therigan nodded and clapped his hands at the guards.
"Get her a table."
"Yes sir!" Thy rushed off, pushing each other towards the door, looking for a table.
"They speak of a legacy beginning, and another ending. One is beneficial to them the other not. They want to make sure that these myths do not come true. They want their way." Zemora said, her extremely long orange hair escaping from under her pink turbin. The guards came fumbling in, table in hands.
"That will do." Zemora said, bending over into her carpet bag, and pulling out her crystal ball and its stand, made of dragon talons and werewolf bones. Upon the table she set the stand, holding the crystal ball. WIth a few fluent motions of her hand, white smoke inside the ball started to spin, her eyes turning a light blueish purple. A diamond shone through her skin, and glowed upon her forehead. THe smoke turned blood red, and then changed to a shade of blood red. Three creatures stood in clear site, Bezzelthorg in front, Ferquzo, and Lorgzoh standing side to side next to him.
"We must set things the way they were meant to be." Hissed the terribly revolting creatures, their dark red shells glistening, their shadow soaked tentacles that entangled their bodies, twisted and crawled, back and forth. They were at least three and a half heads taller than any man, their lanky limbs the size of a normal man. "Call upon us to set things right."
Therigan nodded.
" Zemora, set up the summoning room. It is time."

Rin was getting very imaptient with Seriena. He tried to leave but she stepped in front of him. His pack growled and moved to intercept her from getting to Rin. Seriena took a dagger from her belt and was ready to fight. Rin barked and all of the wolves jumped on top of her. Their teeth gnashing and biting. They were ripping at her flesh. She let out a cry of pain. Rin barked again and some wolves grabbed her arms and legs. They pinned her to the ground. She couldn't move at all. Her dagger had dropped from her hands.
"You were lucky my wolves weren't hungry. If they had been you would be eaten. I will spare you but for good measure of threatening me and trying to take my bounty, I will break your legs." Rin said as he stepped forward. He grasped her leg in his mouth and twisted with unnatural power. He felt a snap. Seriena cried and screamed. Rin grabbed her other leg and twisted. Satisfied, Rin told the wolves to let go.
"If you dare do this again, you won't be so lucky to just have your legs broken." Rin said threateningly. He and his wolves departed. After a few hours, Rin and his pack had finally gotten to Tearbed. He rested with his pack on a cliff that overlooks the main path to the gate. On the path he saw three forms. One was little. Another had silver hair.
" Oh yay. They did make it after all. How unfortunete for them." Rin said smuggly. "I can't wait."

As the trio walk Zelles didn't look at the other two. He couldn't stop staring at the necklace around his neck.

Alex noticed he was troubled and asked, "What's wrong?"

ARo turned and looked at Zelles as well. He just stared back at them.

"I know little of my past because someone stole my memory."

"What, that makes no sense," said Alex."

"Do you know who?" asked Aro.

"My brother."
I will always fight back, no matter what.

Rin was sitting on the cliff with his pack just thinking. He decided to go back to the spot where he last saw Seriena. He told his pack to keep watch and send a runner to him if they saw Aro. As Rin strode through the forest, he started to find clues that pointed to something that was crawling. He follwed them and and Seriena. Rin turned back into his human form and walked up to her as she lay in the dirt.
"Here to break my arms as well, Rin?" she asked as she rolled over.
"No."
"Then what do you want? I'm to weak to heal these wounds myself," she gasped.
"I have a proposition for you. We both want the same target. So why don't we split the bounty in half. If you choose to accept, I will heal those wounds and we can work together. Like you said we do go back a long way. We both know that you are stronger than me as of right now." Rin explained as Seriena struggled against a tree.
"How much is the bounty worth?" she asked
"Five million gold pieces. That can make us both for life. and it's more you can make in a lifetime." Rin said.
"I accept. Now help me with these wounds you gave me." she said.
Rin walked over and the red aura appered again but Rin shook his hand and it disappered. But not before Seriena noticed it.
"What was that?" she asked.
"It's nothing. it's something I got when I was younger. But don't worry about it now." Rin replied as he went over her wounds and healed them expertly. Then he got to her legs and puased. He looked at them.
"Did I really do that much?" Rin asked himself. He went to work and soon had her legs back to normal.

"Your brother stol eyour memory?" Aro asked, it sounded unreal. He had heard of people wiping memories awy from ones mind but never someone stealing them. "I never knew you had a brother Zelles." Aro said. "What was he like, and how could he be cruel enough to steal his own kin's memory, especially his brothers!" In the elvin religion a brother was the your closest relative, closer than the mother or the father. They were practically one.
"He wasn't cruel!" Zelles shouted, protecting his older borther. Obviously this was a very touchy subject for Zelles.
"Fine then, if he wasn't cruel what was he like?" Aro asked.

Zelles looked at the ground, then back at his companions.
"He was, self centered. He cared more about himself then anyone. thant is, except for me. I was the only one He ever cared about. Then he killed everyone with no reason at all. He left me alive, but stole my memory so I wouldn't remember the blood shed. He was older. Through the years though I've regained some memory. My only gal now is to kill him and find others of my race."

Alex swallowed uncomfortably. Okay, so maybe she wasn't the only one who had such hard memories.

Well, at least I had memories, she thought, glancing at Zelles. How terrible.

She stretched her shoulder and slid the heavy pack onto the other one. She had carried it with her since the fire that had destroyed her village.

"So..." she asked questioningly, "If your only goal is to kill him, how is this helping you find him? I mean, why are you coming with us?" Her right eyebrow arched slightly.

"Like that will ever happen."
Aro and Zelles spun around with lighting quick reflexes, swords in hand. Rin stepped out from the shadows and walked into the light. Aro and Zelles looked at each other with disbelief. How could he have known where they were?
"Rin..." Aro put away his sword and drew his bow. He strung an arrow and aimed at Rin.
"Oh come now, Aro. Is that how you greet someone? I am appaled and disappointed. I assure you no harm in this little meeting." Rin said smoothly. He smiled and showed his fangs.
"I'll believe that after you're dead!" Aro yelled and shot his arrow. It was dead on hit with Rin's chest. When the arrow hit, Rin disappered in black magic.
"What did I just say, Aro? I said I meant you no harm." Rin said as he appeared behind Aro. Aro strung another arrow, spun around, and shot. Again Rin was gone.
"You just won't stop will you?" asked Rin.
Aro walked up to Zelles and whispered into his ear.
"Is he using copies?"
"I hear every you're saying and yes. I am using copies. I couldn't risk showing up here in person with you all hostile like that now could I?" Rin said with a grin. He walked up to Aro and whispered into his ear.
"I know you want me dead. I know what really happened to your sister that day. I know where Zelles' people are. And I know where to find Therigan and Seriena. If you're interested. I will tell you all of this in due time. Don't worry. You can trust me...heh heh. I hope." Rin said as he stpped away and disappered. Aro stood with a tear running down his face. He couldn't get the image of his sister's face as the merman dragged her down. Suddenly, he yelled.
"Get back here you slime! Tell me now!"
Zelles and Alex just stood there and gasped at this sudden outburst. Together they tried to calm Aro down.
