hiiii <3

to start off we have this one i just wrote (tw for kinda existential thoughts + grieving)

pedestrian
Spoiler
there was never going to be a time after you;
you were supposed to take my hands and pull me into eternity
(come on in, the water's fine, and so are we)
forever is a state of mind, isn't it?
and god knows our minds are always changing.
i turn mine like a steering wheel,
an ouroboros of leather and fear and
god won't let me lose you; i promised, i promised.
you were my only distraction from the night sky
and now your shadow is moving
and i just can't seem to fit under it
were there always so many stars?
there were always too many stars, too many years, too many
things to remember and things that i can't
and things that i do
and things that i always will.
and i hope i can find you again when we're dead
but every time i mention it to you
you seem to have this idea that death is a state of mind
and god knows you made yours up long ago.
and i know there will be no time after you;
i was supposed to take your hands and pull you into eternity,
but now im terrified you'll go there on your own

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.
