Beyond your mug, a TV announcement catches your eyes, bright and bold with a hefty prize. You may forge a straight path, you may ramble, but you accept the mission, you take the gamble. The mission whispers to you, speaking its words, loud and true. "To those who see this, will you set out to bear a journey that few could dream to dare? Standing here, they took their vow, and to this place they return, even now. Will you, the brave one to see this, dare to weather a quest that brings children and champions together, until the end when the black hole's gale brings an end to each hero's tale? The sun circles round, another year to pass. The young and brave start to amass and the wounded rise up to redemption at last. They voyage into the future with lessons from the past. So come you with plenty, with your courage and might; gather together on this blackened night. Bring with you those things that you've loved and cherished, for in the absence of such the strongest have perished. Across the universe are scattered planets, and you must reach each one and report back to Mission Control before you run out of fuel. Those who stumble or falter will find themselves adrift in the vastness of space and eliminated. The task is simple: do not fail . To Enter: 1. Read the Rules, Guidelines, and FAQs 2. Decide how you wish to enter (as a Pilot, Navigator, Stowaway, or Mission Control) 3. Declare your role in the contest below. 4. Declare your project in the club or Writers Corner. @Meshugenah Good question! While the guidelines do say the aim is to stick with one project, that's mostly targeted towards prose-writers who have more to work on. Working on a few different projects as a Navigator is perfectly fine!

Thanks for the heads-up on being out of town as well. For everyone-- no need to let us know about trips, vacations, etc. if you'll still make the deadline. But if you think you won't be able to (e.g., you won't have internet access for a week), contact us and we might be able to accommodate it by letting you submit early for a week or something!

I just started and finished plotting an actual novel of mine, so is it possible to do 2 LMS's? One as a stowaway for my fanfic and one as a pilot for this novel?

edit: I've been told yes, so I am now also joining as a pilot!!

Welcome, new spacefarers!!

A quick clarification on multiple roles, as I realize it wasn't specified in the rules or guidelines:
Entering as both Pilot and Navigator is not allowed, as it would be unfair to let someone drop out of one role but keep competing as the other. However, Mission Control and Stowaway can be combined with any other role! So one could be a Pilot and Stowaway, or Stowaway and Mission Control, etc.
