Novmo '25: Hotel California

I debated on either Generation Escapees once more, or this story which was derived from a storybook rp based off of the song by the Eagles!
The thing I love the most about this story (at least, so far) is the ability to expand in unique worldbuilding and a new idea which came from my recent trip to Europe... >.>
To sum it up, welcome to the Hotel California! Once you check in, you can never leave! Everyone's (mostly) friendly, and there's always little glowing orbs to light your way!

I participated a bit in that Storybook RP, so I would love to see a world that expands on that concept!

Lol... Hotel... California? Inspired by your trip to Europe? HMMMM.

I haven't been active on here nor working on this project very much, but here's some basic worldbuilding details starting with the species appearing in this story!

Planet name: Vioghe

Species:
Coamemors - A coamemor is not unlike a ghost. They are able to become invisible by sight, and pass through objects. They are unique to the hotel as they do not appear anywhere else due to the written contract stating they may never leave the hotel. They are in the middle ground of death since they cannot move on to the realm of the dead. However after a while, a coamemor disappears. No one knows what happens to them. Perhaps they managed to pass on into peace? It is a small hope in a place with none.

Avelons - They're almost like angels. At least, that's the best way to describe them in our world's terms. They have light bones and seems to walk on air. They're normally blond with white skin. While they are able to stand close to the ground, they can never touch it.

Ralrums - Demonic beings with highly dense bones. They are characterized by their dark tones of brown and black. They can kind of jump, but hardly can they leave the ground without soon rejoining it. However, they do have an interesting ability to walk on walls.

Bolos - Your average guy. Our normal anyways. They're the middle ground. Their bones aren't light or heavy, but they don't have any special abilities. They're probably the only ones who can swim properly too, at least by our standards. They're a mix of both species, both sides having cancelled out. They're disregarded by both sides, so meanwhile the two extremes have waged war, the Bolos have been able to multiply and grow into a larger population then either side thought.

Vehicles don't have wheels, and instead have mechanical legs which mimic those of animals. They are not based on their own animals, merely based upon the scientific knowledge gained on how they work such as bone structure and muscle movement. The animals they have named the brand of vehicles do not exist in their world.

Main Vehicle types:
Mustang - Built to Look Nice, and Leisurely Travel (highly fuel efficient too!)
Ram - Built for Climbing and Rough Terrain
Jaguar - Built for Speed
Ford - Built for Hauling

Unfortunately this little detail won't be brought up much except for in the first chapter because the car stays outside, and the people are stuck inside...

Another unique feature is I have another idea which mentions this planet! Hotel California is in the time of the war while the other story is a lot further into the future and definitely post-war. Travelling in space is definitely not on the minds of people right now. (They're all kind of on drugs due to a flower called Delorco (Cola) which naturally catches fire after blooming and releases calming chemicals into the air and the people love it. It's very commonplace to be inhaling this flower's fumes)

I like how your making allusions to the real world (with stuff like the car types and "cola") but also turning this into some sort of spacey adventure!

Really feels like you are building on the original Hotel California premise!

love how all the species names sound!! especially coamemors and bolos hehe. also the vehicles are creative and hilarious and connecting stories is so epic !!
