Welcome to the world of Six-Edged Sword!

This roleplay is going to be worldbuilding heavy. A group of six writers will come together to create six distinct nations that traverse the world and the incoming doom that awaits it. Each writer will claim a nation and create its lore, its motives, its settings and places, and build its world. After all six nations have been developed to the writers' satisfaction, the story begins!

Each writer will helm several characters in their nation to push the narrative. How many characters is up to each writer! The story revolves around a few core concepts:

  • Something bad is approaching, discovered recently.
  • It revolves around a vital energy source that all nations use
  • A Summit is called to force the nations to face this dillemia.

How each nation faces the core concepts will vary uniquely, and the story need not be written in a chronological order. To keep the story grounded, the timeline will center around the Summit. So, each post will have either:

X Days before the Summit

or

X Days after the Summit

---

The Six Nations
Ngyraa -- Competitive-style democracy, largest nation. Large tourist country. Hilly, wildlife heavy.

Vivistek -- matriarchal society, republic and plutocracy. extravagance built upon old caste system. Second largest nation. Arid Desert biome with some humidity.

Vioghe -- Constitutional Monarchy, third largest nation, semi-desert, technologically advanced civilization, large export nation.

Unknown Nation -- Feudal Monarchy, thick forest

Keshozt -- An overthrown kleptocracy turned fragile republic. Scientific pursued nation, mountainous with a coastline to the west. Weak military and freshly out of war.

Foscamaré -- Elective Aristocracy with positions for life and a council. Colder climate, unique architecture, marshy and evergreen. An isolated coastal nation.

---

So! How does this begin?

First, I'm going to create a series of questions that will be the beginning of the worldbuilding. These questions will act as a sort of Character Template that I ask everyone who is interested to answer. This will decide what nations and writers join (if there's more interest than slots)

After the six nations have been established, the worldbuilding begins. Every other week we will have a write-in/pad party where the six writers come together and worldbuild together. I will also post more foundational-creating questions every so often. All writers are free to ask questions (as I'm sure there will be many!) to better understand the initial concept. The world is to be created together; I have only established a brief foundation to understand the type of story.

Think of these questions as a foundation for your Nation. Really, these questions should only have each a few paragraphs of an answer at most. This is to just gauge what kind of nation you are thinking of creating in this roleplay. Like a Character Profile, this shows the character you want to create and roleplay in the story.

Nation Name (Optional)
Vivistek

How large is your Nation?
Vivistek is a moderately large nation, possibly the second largest of the four.

What is your Nation's vibe (culture, biome, military, history, etc.) in a few sentences?
Vivistek is a nation built off of a caste system of old, and it still holds the remnants of that system under the guise of a republic. It is in a hot climate that varies between arid and humid in depending on the location. Vivistek prides itself on a face of extravagance and royalty built from Ca'aeld, agriculture, and a tough concrete mixture used for construction. Vivistek has a high wealth disparity between its poorest and its richest.

Vivistek has transitioned to a matriarchial society upon the finding of Ca'aeld as the men mined for the rich mineral. Men often cover their face with large jewels, chains, and Ca'aeld-infused decor. Vivistek also has a sizable military that was enforced conscription.

What is your Nation's government type?
Vivistek is a republic-ish. All citizens of Vivistek have a vote and a say in the council, but those with money have more power.

How does your Nation use and rely on Ca'aeld?
Vivistek uses Ca'aeld for high fashion and an energy source for cooling.

What are some inner turmoils of your Nation?
Vivistek struggles with a large wealth disparity and power disparity between the rich and the poor. It's also unclear how much of Vivistek's Council is fairly elected and how much power they have. Vivistek has a deep underground cabal of power and influence that has existed longer than the established government.

What is your Nation's relationship with other Nations?
Vivistek is a large producer of Ca'aeld and handles its influence without mercy. Does not have the best relationship with the other nations generally but there may be exceptions.

What is your Nation's reaction to the Summit being called?
Vivistek did not call the Summit and does not want the Summit. Publicly, they are not even acknowledging it when possible. Privately, they are extremely upset with the publicity that is being forced upon a delicate problem. It is rumored that Vivistek was the nation that first discovered the problem with Ca'aeld.

I would love to join but we'll see if I can come up with inspiration for a kingdom. I've built a couple in the cast with characters that I am a bit to fond of to throw into an apocalypse so I will probably make something completely new if I do join. There might be one kingdom I am willing to throw in that I have built in the past and have been wanting to use again but we'll see if I actually decide to use it or not (the kingdom which I cannot remember the name of was centered around mining so it would fit well but I'm sure if I want to doom those characters to such a fate or not)
Not all who wander are lost; some are just looking for their arrows.
