Elevator pitch

Raiden, a girl who was born in a space in between dimensions, is found by the Dimension Regulation Units and registered as a “glitch”. The trash of the multiverse, with no home. She is partnered with three other glitches who have lost their places and identities. All they have is each other as they fall deeper into a struggle for control over dimensions, where she discovers her place is deeper than she expects…

Goals & Plans

If you participated in Camp Novmo of June 2024 or April 2025 you may have seen this project floating around. I am currently 43,000 words in at about the early midpoint of the story.

Last time I had a bunch of random plans floating around, but this month I want to focus primarily on getting some writing done. Since I have school and such I’ll keep the word count goal somewhat modest at 15,000 words!

I plan on giving some sort of update every week!

This whole concept sounds really cool and I’m intrigued! I’ve always had a soft spot for stories with different dimensions and found family trope!

Wait a dystopian-esque space opera?? This sounds so cool!!
And yay for basically being at the midpoint! I wish you lots of happy writing and time for balancing with school

Thank you all of y'all! I'm not really sure what exact genre I fall into, @Carlito I think Space Opera is probably closest to a multiverse narrative, so I went with that!

Tasks Completed:

-Created a new character for a plot!

As I was expanding a story line I realized I was sorta...missing a minor antagonist. They will be helping our two main antagonists in taking down the corrupt organization of D.R.U. as they gather allies. They will be the first and most important ally, and will allow our two antags to grow closer to eachother. Here is some sketches I did for them.



They are a random species I made up called "Liren". They likely have many followers or fans because they are the undefeated fighter at the Magnetor Coliseum.

I'm thinking a name for this character could be smth like "Overture"? Not sure...

-Did some editing of old chapters

I read over some old chapters so I could make sure I was remembering everything well!

-Began chapter 9!

I really only wrote about 200 words thus far, but chapter 9 is about 2000 words in anywho...Hopefully with some free time I'll write some more this weekend.

"Mara wandered through the hostile streets of the coliseum. She was bombarded with new smells, gravity, and voices. The sensory overload was immediate, like a jackhammer gouging through her head. When she was a universal overlord with Sky, she felt a sense of power and superiority over everybody she came across. These aliens did not recognize her power, and it felt stifling."

Overall, I felt like I was falling behind, but once the night was getting old, I had to LOCK IN to finish a particular set of scenes.

Feels like I'm pretty on track to achieve my goal! I call this a win!

Nothing much done to be honest in terms of writing. I don't have much time and its the end of the semester so school is BUSY!!!

Either way, I ended up making a design for a character who will be a future antagonist. She's supposed to be an inverse to my protagonist, and she'll be a vehicle used to show my protag's growth!

Her name is Terra Lorenza, she abandoned a group of alternate versions of herself to carve her own path, and she greatly misses her original world that she was taken from so long ago...

She melted down powerful armor and had her skeleton lined with it, making her highly durable!



Also, the reasons I am adding new characters as I move along is because the middle of my story is probably the section with the least planning done. These new characters are more to push the central characters forward in their efforts.

There's this scene where my protagonist gets beaten into the ground by the character speaking here. Pretty metal?

Raiden felt a lump in her throat looking at Kitty’s face. Despite being in her thirties, she looked tired. It was like wrinkles formed around her mouth from the amount of time she’d spent frowning or crying. Kitty gave a selfless smile of contentment before giving Raiden a hug and helping her into her pod.

I'm happy with the process...Let's see if we can SQUEEZE in an extra 3000 words within the next five days. I think I can pop off!!

Overall I think I made some good progress, but I didn't quite hit my goal, and that's okay! Finals really had me down so I didn't have much time during my last week.

Either way, I got fairly deep into the next arc of my story. So all smiles here!
