Let's Build a World and Burn it Down

So RP idea that I was thinking about as I fell asleep last night: I'm pretty big on worldbuilding but I kinda struggle with it when I'm doing it by myself (it just happens to be one of those things yknow XD been doing it for soooo long)

But I've been itching to craft a new world. So, what if we do it together?

The idea is this: a group of 4 people (including me) or 5 max, but most likely 4, join together to create a world together. And then we burn it all down >:3

Fantasy preferred, and we'd each control a city in the same country/area (or country in the same continent but that might be too largescale) and create multiple characters we control to convey the story in a segmented and non-linear style.

The roleplay itself might not include much collaboration; I feel like the worldbuilding would be the big collaborated part, but the idea in my head is four different stories all dealing with the same cataclysmic event.

Anyone interested? ^^ very bare bones idea so if you have any questions ask away!

@theromanticchemist I'm thinking storybook format ^^ longer posts and the ability to control other's characters if the story asks for it

Did someone say world building and cataclysmic events?
Not all who wander are lost; some are just looking for their arrows.

I was brainstorming this a little more in my spare time and a few thoughts/bare ideas. Lemme know what you think!

Cities may be too small but countries may be too large to handle. Cities can absolutely have a lot going on within them but in a fantasy setting it may be less going on than is needed. So I might be leaning more towards something a bit larger than cities like city states? Something large and country-ish but not as large as a country (because that is... a lot to deal with) but a country might also be nice. It really just depends on how much we would all like to handle.

Also, I was debating whether or not the cataclysm would be direct or indirect, and ended up thinking a mixture of the two would be nice. So the beginning of the story would have them trying to handle everything and stop the cataclysm from happening then it happens.

Also also I think it would be good to have our characters stay in their own lanes in the beginning just to establish them and have a foundation to set off from.

Anyway! Just some short ideas to gauge interest and get those sparks flying. This would be pretty low energy in the beginning and would really only go forward if people are interested and enthusiastic ^^

What about a territory? Since countries may be too large and cities too small. Just a thought.
