John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Bah! Looks like no day will catch us all this week
Let’s do Tuesday since that seems like it’ll work for most of us I think? @Lael maybe leave some notes for Caelan in the bday post when you get a chance.

I won't be able to make it Tuesday night -- I'm going to a baseball game But I will be free for some of Wednesday if y'all need to leave any notes or anything for me :3

putting this here since it won't end up in winter's Ossie post lol
hoss's thoughts since he doesn't get a POV Spoiler
the hoss layers: - he's seeing a little bit of himself in ossie. the older brother forced to be responsible and bear the weight of the family part - he respects ossie, and lowkey always hoped ossie would not take the same path as him, even though he deemed it necessary for himself - he is seeing the death of the last of ossie's childhood in this moment, as ossie makes this decision. even if hoss said no, there's no going back from this. it's a darker path to walk: blackmail, the truest thing a sun could do - he realizes his own apathy, as he finds himself unable to care enough to tell Ossie no. he knows ossie will get his way just like every other kid in the sticks no matter his answer. why does it matter if it's him, who singes him? - but why did ossie ask HIM, with blackmail attatched? it must be because ossie recognized deep down what everyone else sees in him -- what his parents wanted for him, what the town wants for him, what everyone even in the suns wants for him -- ossie was too pure for this. he was, to use the worst term, "one of the good ones" of sticks. but now he's actively Choosing not to be - that's what makes this so sad for Hoss. he'd actually hoped in Ossie. now, he's disappointed - and, i think, timing-wise? he's processing his father's recent death, still, and all the [poop] he had to carry while Simon was alive. Ossie is just another fresh reminder of everything Simon has still left behind that Hoss feels responsible for. Hoss will never be done picking up his dad's [poop] - the end
Today's write-in is in the books! At least... for me, lol.
We'll go back to our regularly scheduled Mondaying next week, unless there's big No's all around! For those who couldn't make it, pop in when you get a chance and do the following if you can:
- Read over the Silas WIP post to check your character's dialogue/actions. We wrote up a brief scene with Saoirse and Caelan that can be edited/changed/or expanded per your discretion. - Work on your CP's for the next chapter and look over your story beats for your charrie!
We're hitting the halfway-ish point, folks. Wowie!
I shall see you all tomorrow! I might be on mobile for the first bit, but it’ll be back to our usual time, which should be 5pm MST/6pm CST/7pm EST!!!
Excited and I think we can wrap up Ch.3 fr. 🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡
