What a neat idea to use your novel characters to inspire your poetry, best of luck Nadya!
you should know i am a time traveler &
there is no season as achingly temporary as now
but i have promised to return

Falling Rain, Falling Hard
~ day1

this poem is written in the POV of Ace and the cursive parts are Rani replying.

He doesn’t deserve you,
not your secret smile
nor the glow in your eyes.
I don’t care—let him take it.

He doesn’t respect you,
Doesn’t understand what you went through
All the storms you walked through alone.
I don’t mind; I don’t ask him to.

You’ve been wronged,
lost yourself on the way of empty promises,
left to walk in the shadows he cast.
You know nothing; I’m still standing.

You’re afraid
of breaking, of letting people in,
of silence that falls heavier than rain.
I don’t need a knight in armour, only myself.

What if there’s no armour?
What if it’s all just broken people?
What if you give me one chance?
What if I prove him wrong?
Shut up, don’t try to save me.

Explanation: Rani is in a toxic relationship and Ace wishes she would get out of it.

I LOVE how you used your novel as inspo for this poem!!! You always go above and beyond with the creativity, Nadya <33 Love this songs and the entire organization. Can't wait to see more of this awesome project, hopefully even during NovMo!!
Who's to say that my light is better than your darkness? Who's to say death is better than your darkness? Who am I to say?
