Hey everyone! The mod team and I would like to announce that our annual Spooktober event is about to kick off! This site-wide event is full of activities and challenges that will run throughout the month to keep you entertained and aptly prepared for spooooky season
Here's a look at the schedule, with all current and upcoming events!
Spooktober 2024 Schedule
Running all month long, we have:
Roleplay a Week - October 2024 - The goal of Roleplay a Week is to have 750 roleplay words (or more!) written every week! Simply join by clicking on the topic and making a post to reserve your spot, where you will log your roleplay (RP) posts and your word count! Also, readers, do be aware that there are badges that will be given with this challenge...
Inktober 2024 - Inktober is a daily challenge ran all month where members create art inspired by a word prompt! Here is a list of the prompts for this year's Inktober, as well as the club forum where you can begin posting your Inktober entries! Feel free to jump right in and start from day one, there's no time like the present!
Finding Nate the Ghost - Our annual Spooktober tagbook is live! If you don't know what a tagbook is, it's a special kind of storybook where members play as themselves - no character profiles needed! Tag as many members as you can in your post and get silly with us!
Spooky Hashtag season - Courtesy of our Poetry Crew, some spooooooky hashtags have begun to take over the profile tab! Have you seen any used yet?
A popular one is #spookypoetryhour - simply join in by using this hashtag on your wall and posting your autumn-themed poetry! If you'd like, you can go a step further by using some gorgeous autumn-themed colors, such as palegoldenrod! (ouch, right?) - Code

Spooky Fall Photography Contest - If you enjoy photography then this contest is perfect for you! Come check it out and bless us with any photos you take during this month! If you're from the southern hemisphere then don't fret, you are more than welcome to join in as well - it'll be really cool to see the contrast between the two seasons that are occurring during this month!
Are there any specific dates I should know about?
I'm so glad you asked! Our lovely crews - General Literature, Poetry, Resources, and Roleplay - have been working hard to bring you challenges of all types that will be posted throughout the month! However, we want to keep a bit of the mystery and suspense, so here are the dates you should keep an eye on:
Week 2 - October 11th through the 17th: Halfway through Spooktober, our Gen Lit Crew is gonna SPOOOOK you with some prose challenges! Make sure you watch this forum and start brushing up on your typing skills, we've got some fun challenges lined up for you!
Week 4 - October 25th through the 31st: Ending Spooktober with a BLAST will be our Poetry Crew, taking over with a poetry week! Make sure you watch this forum and wake up your inner poet!
