I apologize that the sparkles don't move, the gif decided to hate me

Everything started on the planet Septembris. In the beginning there was a singular god, Izara, who strolled across the world. For a long time she enjoyed her solitude and her ability to use her powers without worry. However, as all living beings do, she grew lonely and wished for companionship. So, she created the first human to exist: Lethia. The two were inseparable, until Lethia unfortunately passed away. Izara was devastated, and so she created another human to cure her lonliness. The mortal cycle continued for hundreds of years before the god realized that it wouldn't work. So, she created more. Hundreds. But they were all the same, no individuality.
And so she gave them free will. Individuality. She left it to them to evolve and grow, so she created a home in the skies that she retreated into to watch over them. The humans continued to multiply and she found that she couldn't take care of all of them at once. Those who were neglected would shake their fists up at her in rage.
So, she created more gods, who's powers were more limited than hers. They helped to care for the humans, but now the humans felt limited. They attacked the gods, and even if they did manage to kill one, another took their place. So the humans turned to attack the source of the problem: the mother of the gods.
Many times they have come close to killing Izara, so the gods decided on a solution: they would take a piece of their essence and mix it with a human's.

This is where you come in. You are one of those children who now have part of a godly essence. Yes, this does indeed make you something of a demigod. Maybe you've met someone that you feel you gravitate towards. Like there's a connection, even though you've never met them before. One night, it is stronger than ever and you find yourself headed towards one of the most famous buildings in the city of Vermales: the old house where the heroes would gather as they plan to tear the gods down. It's hard to miss, as the building sticks out like a skeletal finger in this modern world. The next words spoken force you to realize that after this moment, nothing will be the same.

OPENING POST

Its almost 11pm when you come across the old, rickety house in the heart of your home city, Vermales. It stuck out like a sore thumb with its rustic and vintage archetecture and materials. It contrasted greatly with the rest of the Vermales's futuristic but modern style of buildings, and it was only there as a restricted, historicall site. The place where the founders of Vermales first started the quest of trying to kill the Gods.
You step closer, noticing that the gate door thats usually chained shut is open, the padlock and chain nowhere in site. A intense longing, intuition feeling is drawing you through that gate and onto the old wood porch of the house. You open the door, timidly entering before closing the door behind you. The second the door is shut the room hums and a (Your assigned color) glow lights up the previously dim room. It illuminates where a stone tablet sits on a table in the middle of the room, writing glowing in your color magically appearing on the tablet. You walk over, reading the stone tablet (Its just the God description in the mp). At the bottom of the stone slate is a small glowing circle and without thinking you press your left thumb against it. As you feel a burning pain blaze over your thumb you quickly retract it back, examining your injured finger.
You blink in surprise to find the same color on the stone tablet now burned onto your thumb. There's no scar and the pain fades as suddenly as it came. You hear a click of a lock and a creak and your head whips up, your eyes landing on a glowing, open door across the table from you. As if in a trance you slowly step closer to the door, seeing only darkness on the other side of the door.
You pause at the doorway, stretching out your hand, watching the shadows envelop up to your elbow. Then you feel hard wood slam against you as the door you had entered the doorway of slammed shut. You're pushed into darkness and you're falling, falling fast until you're not, splashing into a glowing turquoise water. As you sink deeper and deeper, no matter how hard you fight to reach the surface, your life starts flashing before your eyes. Memories swim in the water around you as you start to feel the oxygen leaving your lungs.
As you fight and claw for your life you realize something: You're going to die. As your last bit of air escapes your lips and your eyes start drifting shut, a voice rings out in your heard. "Hello, my darling child." Suddenly your eyes shoot open and you're sucked down, deeper and deeper into the water and right before you hit the bottom of the abyss you had fallen in, the water swerves you to the side and spits you out into a room.

Though the most important detail to you, is that you can breathe. You gulp down precious air as you survey your surroundings. You lie dripping wet with the wind knocked out of you in a medium, rustic but homey feeling room. You analyze that you were spit out from the water into this room from a fireplace, which you're too happy to be alive to question. The room has other people in it, all looking not much drier than you as they dry off either with towels or powers. There is a table piled with food to your right and various styles of couches and arm chairs to your left. Across the room from you the entire wall is lined with cabinets, some containing weapons, maps, towels, gear etc. Now you take over. We hope you enjoy the start of your new adventure, knowing your life will never be the same.

Vesperine and Oxi Collab post

Oxi paced in the room. He went over everything in his head that Izara had told him. While the way to get to this room wasn't exactly pleasant, it was the most secure way to get to the room.
Vesperine was huffy and puffing, less than pleased with their mode of transportation to the room as she created tiny vortex's to blow wind that dried her off. He hadn't quite told her about why they were here in this room, or why they were waiting on other people. It was better than her coming on instinct like the others and then being surprised to see him there. That would for sure mean a knee to his crotch. While he couldn't summon his powers, it seemed that there was an exception when arriving at this room as he was dry on arrival. She glanced at him, sighing softly when she saw his pacing.

He hoped that the gods had chosen easy-to-work-with people. The longer it took in the first stage the more time the people would have to locate and kill Izara, the mother of the gods. Still they needed to narrow down who it could possibly be.

He also was only 15 years old, and expected to be leading an entire group of people. He wouldn't be able to do much field work since he wasn't old enough to legally get a job, so he couldn't go undercover. He'd have to leave it to someone else. Izara said it was part of leading. It was a really sucky part.

Vesperine glanced at her brother, tilting her head slightly at his thoughtful expression. She always worried when he had that look, it usually wasn't anything simple he thought about. She glanced around the room, deciding to explore her surroundings, slowly walking over to the cabinets, examining them. They seemed to be rather normal looking, made of mahogany wood. They had no handle so she traced her finger along the side of the cabinets door until she found a groove, using it to open the wooden storage container.

She did this with each cabinet, discovering an array of items. Maps, towels, blankets, gear and weapons (etc), which particularly interested Vesperine. She had never used one before and was curious, slowing picking up a dagger. She examined it, rubbing her fingers along it's ebony and silver hilt. She wondered how sharp it was as she grabbed the dagger's belt and sheath.

She buckled the belt around her waist, attaching the sheath afterwards. She very carefully slid her dagger into its holster before untucking her loosely tucked shirt, making sure it covered her new item. She wasnt sure what would be down here or how to use the weapon, but it made her feel safer.

She was a little concerned how her brother could be so composed and calm while they'd just fallen and almost died before being spit out into a weird room. She walked past him over to the food, examining it. It was various handheld foods like sweet rolls, fruits, pigs in a blanket etc. Silently in her head she was trying to figure out which food was least likely to be poisonous, or even if she should eat at all. In the end, Vesperine lost the battle to her stomach, grabbing a croissant with much hesitance. She took it over to one of the arm chairs, grabbing a blanket and sitting on the soft mini sofa as she ate her snack.

Oxi didn't stop her, although he eyed the fact that she grabbed a dagger. Hopefully his sister wouldn't stab him with that in a few minutes. Meeting completely random people who are technically also their siblings

NICK

Nick grumbled and muttered to himself as he got up, stomping over to the cabinets and searching for a towel. He eventually found one in a cabinet, wrapping it around himself as he scanned his surroundings suspiciously. There were two other people already there, a set of red heads, probably siblings. Why is it always red-heads?

He grumbled incoherently to no one in particular, running his hand through his hair as his eyes scoured around the surrounding area. He groped his pockets for his cigarettes, cursing loudly when he felt the wet cardboard in his pocket. Someone owes me some new cigs. He leaned against a wall, squinting at the food on a table. Probably messed with. Who knows what hellish things happen down here.

His mind whirled as he tried to make sense of what had just happened, feeling incredibly irritated and a tad anxious. He stomped down on his anxieties, trying to look as tough as possible to scare off anyone wanting to mess with him.

You're wrong about humanity. They are your greatest creation because they're better than you are. Sure, they're weak, and they cheat and steal and destroy and disappoint, but they also give and create, and they sing and dance and love. Above all, they never give up.
