Primus, this bot talked fast and asked a lot of questions. It was more welcome than glares though. Reverse tapped on his arm, and then pulled up a hologram that said:

Reverse
Harmonex
I used to perform music. Then the war started.
Now I work in comms.

"That's cool, what music? I still listen to some. Can you actually talk or do you choose not to? Doesn't matter to me. I'm Blueshade by the way, I'm a scout! Have you been on the battlefield before?" Blueshade took on a fighting stance and threw a few punches at the air, as if against an imaginary foe. "This squad sees some tough missions."

Different kinds. Jazz, Alternate, just upbeat songs.
I can.
Yes.

Way to go. Fill the 'rookie' with anxiety.

Blueshade clapped his hands together and laughed. "Ha! Awesome. We'll have to cush some 'cons to some tunes later. They won't even see it coming."

"Blueshade. Go prep for the mission and quit bugging the kid."

Blueshade turned around to see Path standing behind him. "But-"

"Go on." Path crossed his arms. Blueshade hung his head and obeyed.

"See ya in a few hours, Reverse!" Blueshade left the room quickly to go prepare for their mission, still sidestepping and acting as if he was dodging imaginary hits from some unseen and incredibly agile enemy.

Path looked down at Reverse and then knelt so he was closer in height to the small bot. He studied the blank faceplate for a moment and then spoke. "Don't let them give you too hard of a time. We're all a little rough around the edges but I've got a feeling you can handle it." He chuckled and gave Reverse's shoulder a gentle punch. "You've got spark. You'll be fine."

Reverse nodded, thankful for Path sending Blueshade off somewhere else. Not that Blueshade was someone he disliked, he just sort of asked a lot of questions fast enough that it felt like flying into a brick wall. He was glad that Blueshade never got the chance to ask more in depth about his experience on the battlefield.

Path stood up. "Get some rest. We're moving out early. You'll be travelling with me and Blueshade once we reach Nova Station."

Reverse nodded, and left. To his surprise, he did manage to fall asleep in his quarters.

Early that next morning the team gathered at the transport that would take them to Nova Station. They'd have to drive from that point on. Tarmac, no less irritable than he'd been the day before and looking like he hadn't rested at all, was ensuring they had adequate supplies to get them in and out. He didn't intend to lose anyone on this mission.

Surprisingly, the kid showed up bright and early along with the rest. Tarmac half expected the little bot to have run off and hidden somewhere. It might have been good riddance.

As they boarded the transport the crew took their usual positions. Path was up front and watching, as always. Tall and quiet, he was the first to spot trouble if it were to come. Blueshade took up the rear, sitting down but fidgeting terribly. He tried his best to stay quiet when Tarmac was around. Tarmac himself took the seat closest to the transport side door with an easy line of sight to each of his team members. They were in for a few hour ride.

Reverse sat where he could, and had noticed the scowls he received from Tarmac. Since he was going to be going with Path, he sat closer to him.

Altrock stood on the ceiling, bickering with Helixon.

Eventually Tarmac became irritated with the two bots and stepped over to them, shoving them apart. "Cut it out, both of you, or I'll bolt you to your seats."

Path chuckled and glanced down at Reverse, keeping one eye on him. The bot was small, and most of these soldiers weren't very careful. He'd have to learn to keep out from underfoot.

Both of the bots glared at each other, not moving. Simultaneously each sat down. Helixon on the floor, Altrock on the ceiling. The two kept eye contact, arguing quietly.

Reverse watched the world outside as they flew by.

"Ready to roll kid?" Path asked quietly, so to avoid Tarmac's attention. He was busy keeping the other two from acting the fool.

Reverse looked to him, and nodded.

*intense glaring in the other scene*

"Just stick with me and Blue. Things can get a little tense on the transport before a mission. Probably why they're all acting like that."

Tarmac, finally giving up on completely settling the two bots, returned to his seat. This was too long of a mission to argue the whole way. They were crossing over dangerous territory.

Reverse nodded again. He could get that. This was kind of like how it used to be with...
He banished that line of thought from his mind, looking down.

The two returned to doing their own thing, still on occasion shooting each other with glares.
