A Tale of Two Queens

Tieran nodded a bit “Alright then.” He went back to his food with a knowing chuckle at the last part. “Yep, I’m sure she won’t disappoint.”

Bathildis smirked a little. “Oh I’ll be sure to find it.”

Scylla beamed. "That's my girl."

Bathildis tilted her head back to grin up at her. “I’ll make sure you get the finest cloak the Fiodha has ever seen.”

Scylla grinned, finishing up her braiding and taking her seat again. "Thank you kindly. While you're at it make sure you both come back preferably unscathed."

Bathildis chuckled “I’ll make sure he does at least. That’s my job.”

"And yourself. Make sure of that too!"

“Alright, I will, I will.” Bathildis chuckled a little and nodded.

Scylla nodded, smiling a little softer. "Now that's what I like to hear."

Bathildis grinned. She didn't care about anyone else's words but Scylla's praise always meant the world to her.

Scylla beamed. "Once you two return we'll tackle our other pressing issue. I think we might need to visit a couple of sites at this rate personally."

"That's the Hunter's guild issue right?" Bathildis asked, pulling out a piece of slightly wrinkled paper out of her pocket that seemed to be a to do list. "Just want to review real quick and make sure I'm not forgetting anything."

"Yup that's the one!" Scylla nodded.

"Got it." She nodded and looked at the list a moment longer before shoving it back in her pocket. "When do you want to leave? I'll try to be back before then."

Scylla considered it for a moment. "Probably best to try and arrive there before lunchtime. Just to catch anyone who might be leaving a little early."

Bathildis nodded. “Okay, I’ll be sure to keep an eye on the sun and get back before noon. As long as someone doesn’t take too long eating his breakfast.”

“I’m finishing up now.” Tieran huffed.
