Because most patients in St. Pandurave come in for mainly as mentioned non-surgical treatments, they can assist with triaging and starting up treatment. But due to the often unpredictable environment this place is set, natural disasters and the such can worsen an patients status. Little Miss has an little bit of an ability to control such events, but her sensitivity ends up weakening her power, which when James comes in is sort of an bummer. I cannot promise an happy, totally whimsical place due to the nature of this world. When those disasters happen, patient outcomes dip an little. To preserve them and prevent them from dying on the spot, many will have to work quickly in their hospital because these disasters happen very often. When patient outcomes dip, that is when magically induced unconsciousness. Through airborne, oral, or occasionally injected means, patients will be put to sleep to make sure they can not only heal on their own but also survive. The people are still alive though, so its more like an healing sleep than something to kill them. In fact, this scary process does help patients live and have greater outcomes.
