Fred poked his head outside. There was still an endless corridor that awaited them, and who knew how long it would take them to find something of real importance.
Sally-Anna scooted over to check back at the corridor they'd all come down. This little place was starting to look unlikely to be having anything within it, so it was time to be looking elsewhere. That corridor really did look quite endless. Sally-Anna was positive something more had to be down there.
"Let's keep going then guys," she voiced, slipping back out into it and heading further down. She kept an eye out for any more messages too. Whatever that previous little message was, she was sure it wasn't going to be the last of its kind. Whoever had done this was playing a game with them, and they were enjoying it.
Stay Safe The Princess of Darkness
Hello! You? Yes you reading this. Have a nice day because you're wonderful and you deserve it!
Carter nodded and bracing himself, walked straight through. It felt strange, liking passing through cold water. He opened his eyes and took in a deep breath as he looked around what seemed to be a billiard room. Most of the other ghost people were here. He spotted an old bookshelf and he was immediately drawn towards a cluster of people who were staring at something on one of the walls. He started walking towards them, glancing back wondering if the girl would follow.
Carter saw what everyone was staring at. The message chilled him to the bones. His heart beating wildly, he cleared his throat. Everyone seemed to be discussing investigating more about the note and what it meant. That didn’t sound like a great idea. “Uhh umm… excuse me” he tapped the shoulder of the person directly in front of him, “Why are we trying to go TOWARDS whoever is doing all of this?” He regretted saying it immediately. He felt like a kid again, asking his mom why the cashier at the supermarket always stared.
Britney nodded with Sally-Anna. "Most likely," she told Carter.
Then, she noticed a doorway with no door leading into another room.
"Then we start there." She pointed to it. Britney floated over that way and poked her head through the doorway. Seeing nothing jump out at her, she let her body float the rest of the way through.
She found herself in a magnificent living room. Gold and silver wallpaper lined with paintings adorned the walls. Couches were placed around the room with velvet throw pillows on them. There was a large wooden table and chairs with old-style designs in the middle of the room. A pack of cards was strewn on the table like a game had been interrupted in a hurry.
Britney stepped forward and stopped, placing her hands on her hips akimbo. "Interesting," she said.

Britney looked up at the paintings. They were all representative of what was usually seen inside a mansion. Portraits of rich people, of nature and outdoor activities, the likes. She studied the two largest portraits: a man and a woman, both in their mid-forties or fifties. They wore 18th or 19th century clothing. They looked exceedingly wealthy and graceful, calm and serene looks on their faces. Most likely they were owners of this mansion.

Carter followed Britney and Sally Ann, and looked around. The living room was luxurious and it took his breath away. The paintings on the walls were beautiful. There was life in the nature scenes and people who were painted. He stepped and stood beside Britney. Maybe that was a little creepy given their circumstances.
