i am a superfluous, sporadic, spontaneous being
my words jump, bounce, leap
in an attempt, struggle, endeavor
to be heard.

i have always been energetic, lively, spirited
now i am annoying, bothersome, irritating
humans around avoid, dodge, circumvent me.
i am too much.

i long to be loved, cared for, cherished
for someone to see, know, hear me
but i am overlooked, shunned, forgotten
i am nothing.

i live my present for my past.
i heal the broken parts of my soul
by gently putting myself back together.
i feel what i didn't let myself feel.
i do what i didn't let myself do.
i say what i wouldn't let myself say.
and i change.
