@WeepingWisteria Actually... Hm, this is kind of a hard question. In pure technological advancements, Terith would be set in the late 1500s to mid 1600s. It's the medievel era just beginning to enter the next one. Women only just gained the right of personal finances and being allowed in the workforce just say 100 years ago by the present of the story.
I feel like 1700s might be a bit too advanced, at least in technology, as of now. As I'm saying that... I'd say clothing styles and a few other aesthetics are more in line with the 1700s. The whole Souls system really messes up advancements in mankind, "shockingly." So... for simplicity's sake i'd say 1500-1699 is the general timeframe?

Alrighty! You just said 200 years after the last wanderer, born in 1517, so I thought we were in the 1700s. But I understand. The 1500s to 1600s work with me. ^^

Basically what I was trying to say was that it is the 1700s, but the technological and political aspects are more akin to the 1500-1600s because of how hindering the Soul system is. (I totally misinterpretated your original question I'm really sorry about that)
Think of it like the theory about the catholic church in the dark ages situation, where it's theorized that because of the European dark ages we've lost about a couple hundred years of potienal scientific progress (I can't remember the exact theory but it's something along those lines).
Oh, no. You’re good! Knowing the technology and the date really helps. And it makes sense why the gods wouldn’t want humans to be technologically advanced because then they’re at risk.
