Ky slipped out and shut the door behind her. She closed her eyes for a brief moment and took a deep breath then started for the hall, planning to go find Anneliese.

Ky walked briskly, hands shoved deep in her pockets. She was even more tired now that she'd had that conversation, but she certainly wasn't going to hide away until she'd at the very least greeted everyone.
She shivered as she passed the tree Wick had stopped her at back when she'd been planning to...
She shook the thought off, actively choosing not to dwell on it. She owed Wick an apology. At least, if he'd had even half the emotions regarding her that she had about her father, she did. That had been terrible to be on the other side of. Way worse than when she'd been planning on it.
But that wasn't what she needed to focus on. Finding Anneliese was. She kept walking.

Ky crept up behind her and then threw her arms around her in a hug from behind. “Surprise!”

Anneliese shrieked and dropped her notebook, jumping to her feet, then whirled and her eyes went wide. "KY!" She hugged her back, bouncing up and down. "You're back!!"
