“I appreciate that.” She inclined her head and smiled a little. “I bet they’d like to know you’re still around. You seem cool. I bet you were a good uncle.”

"If you want to tell then, give them my love and we'll wishes, please." Severus gave her a smile. "They're good lads."

Ky smiled a bit more at that. “I’ll let them know.”

(I cannot tell you how hard it was to find a good actress for Anneke and Sera by the way
Like I wanted Emma Thompson vibes for Sera and I wanted energetic but down-to-earth vibes for Anneke and it took me like an hour to settle)

He glanced toward the door. "I should probably get my old non-bones moving and talk to some others; they might know where Michael went. Can I walk you anywhere before I go?"

“Um… I’m off to breakfast if its on your way. No worries if not.”

"Certainly." He rose. "Perhaps I'll run into some people."

“Hopefully not one of them.” She wrinkled her nose.

"No, hopefully not," he agreed. "Septimus prefers his room or his--and now Gaius's--office when he's not in the library, so we should be clear of him. And Michael...Michael lurks."

Ky looked at him uneasily. “What does that mean?”

"He likes the dark corners of the Keep. He doesn't talk to the rest of us."

“That’s so creepy,” she muttered, shivering. She was quiet for a moment. “I think… I’m not going to tell him I know it’s him, if he tries Narfi again. He… At least pretends to be nice then.”

"He pretends to be nice even when he's Michael," Severus said grimly. "Unless he's angry. That's how he draws people in."
