Most of them were about the size Sven had showed her before, with a few that were bigger and a few that were smaller. Some had been carved into specific shapes and others were simply embellished boxes. All of them had beautiful details that were either cut into the wood or shaped in. All manner of wood was represented: cherry, pine, oak, maple, cedar, and countless others.

It was hard to guess. On one hand, she didn’t fully understand the tradition — what if he wanted to be like most other people? But also he had a unique flair to life, and it was a unique situation. Would he want one of the shaped ones?
