The only weird part was what he was making this. Making her think about her father’s sex life. She almost shuddered. How gross. She blushed and started up the stairs.
(It has occurred to me that Michael would have been around when Aleth was sneaking around so could be fun if he’s there when D’Ara connects the pieces lol or idk if he would know already from eavesdropping about her in general. She didn’t admit to being a former slave pretty sure or mention Aleth as far as I can remember)

“…Right.” She nodded and briskly continued her ascent. She desperately hoped he’d leave soon. She was getting so anxious. This strange lying man. Who wanted to know if she locked her bedroom door. Would he try to touch her? Could he? She remembered Aleth’s hands on her and almost shuddered. Narfi wouldn’t do that to her, even if he was a bad person. Spirit. Whatever. He was still family.
… then again Septimus and Gwynna had been family too. Maybe that didn’t matter much to the Ashes.
