Mattathias had been bouncing up in his seat, and he immediately began rattling off items. "Three wood babies, a rock I found, a stick from a tree, my mama's hair, my papa's hair, Marcella's hair, Regulus's hair, a pine cone, a squirrel skull, my favorite toy that got bit by the hunting dogs so his arms and legs are all gone, a pin that I'm gonna wear on my cape when I grow up, and a hat Auntie Anneke made for me that was too big."
