Ky didn’t like the way that he phrased that. She didn’t like it at all. She hid that, but Tadaaki knew her well enough to know that that probably cut deeper than she’d ever be willing to let on. So he reluctantly reinserted himself into the conversation. “I’ve got a wife and a daughter, sir. Lord Ash is bringing them here soon.”
