Ky hesitated a long moment, considering it. She felt like this was dangerous game. Opening it up to him asking her questions she didn’t want to answer. “…what’s the most interesting part of this Keep? Any, like, secret rooms? Hidden tunnels?”

"I'm so glad you asked." He grinned conspiratorially. "There are hidden tunnels all over the place. Tomhas and Gaius both know, like, all of them, and I've found a few over the years. There's a secret room somewhere with a dead Lord inside, but I've never been able to find it."

None of the librarians paid her or Emery any mind. Emery knelt on the floor once he arrived at the corner and pulled back a section of the rug. He started removing stones like they weighed nothing at all. "These are made of wood," he told her, holding one out to her.
