Ky had forced herself to calm her energy and now sat with a book in her lap, but hadn’t read more than a few sentences.
It was painful.
Not having Tadaaki. Not only for her benefit of feeling the security he offered, but mostly for her own peace of mind. Tangible proof that he was okay. She had no reason at all to trust any of these people. Not yet.
