(So we were going fast and then we slowed down and the boat did a nose dive and just started filling with water. We got to a marina but it sank in under a minute. We now have to stand in shame for two hours until a coworker comes rescues us while people keep coming up to gawk and learn that we are the US Fish and Wildlife Service)

Ky kept counting until she figured they were out of earshot, then sat back down at the desk. She’d go look for them… eventually.
