Ky’s nervous laughter got a bit shriller. This joke was less funny. What if Ada actually told him? He would think they were being serious. And he wouldn’t find it funny. Gods. She hoped she’d keep her mouth shut. How would that even look? ‘Hey Gaius, Ky said she thinks you should banish your children.’ She barely kept the anguished laughter from ending in a squeak.
