Counting Game (Roman Edition)

This is just like the counting game thread, but the catch is that you can only count with Roman numerals. I'll start! I Edit: Confused on how Roman numerals work? Don't worry! @MailicedeNamedy has you covered. Here's an explanation from a post she made later on in this thread. The first numbers are easy: I II III 1,2,3 5= V 10 = X 50 = L 100 = C 500 = D 1000 = M The numbers are counted. We are now at CXLVII which is C+(X-L)+V+I+I If the letter is smaller than the next one, you subtract it. Especially in large numbers, it can be hard. MCMXCIV stands for 1994 Remember the numbers from above: 1000 (M)-----------------1000 C-M (100-1000)---------+900 X-C (10-100)-------------+90 I-V (1-5)------------------+4 =1994

But if DCXC is 690
we would be now at DCC = 700 + XXXI = 731

if DCXCXXXI is correct that would be: 690 + 31 = 721 which makes no sense?

I´ve checked some websites and DCXCXXXI is an invalid number, so we should be now at
