“I don’t know…” Ky shrugged, burying her hands in her pockets and looking away. She looked smaller than normal. Younger. “I know it’d be a huge honor, even though I’m not qualified for it and tried to tell him that.” She hesitated. She felt so prideful to have even considered refusing what the king wanted her to do. “I guess I would…” She was going to sound like a complete child if she said the next part, but he’d mind read it anyway if she didn’t. “I don’t know. I know it’s juvenile, but I’ve been feeling a bit clingy lately, now that I’ve got a family again… and Rein is an awful far way away…”
