And I imagine my cat laying on the bed beside me as it tries desperately to comfort me, I imagine my cat will still comfort me (And I hope that so soon the moon’s stars will glisten and not shatter in my face, I hope the stars will shine forever.)

And then I imagine the stars behind me as they chase me like wild dogs too frightened to show fear in their frothing gaze, and then I imagine those mad dogs still chase me (I hope one day they’ll leave me alone to float through a stardust nebula and think the world over, I really hope that they leave me alone.)
