I had a gorilla try to punch me when I was a kid ;-; still traumatized lol

So I was like 8? and went to the zoo for the first time
There was an exhibit of chimpanzees. I was being a little kid and was pressed up to the glass. One of the male chimps comes running across its cage and then stopped in front of the window and started dancing. It was SO cute!
So an exhibit or two down were the gorillas. I was pressed up against the glass again. The male beats on its chest and comes running over and I think he's about to dance -- and instead, he PUNCHED the glass right where my forehead was. Like, it was thick enough it didn't give, obviously, but he hit it hard enough I still felt it as if I'd bonked my head off a car window or something. It didn't hurt me but I was terrified and thus started my lifelong fear of gorillas haha

Perhaps. When I was a teenager I went to a completely different zoo in a different state and as I walked past the exhibit the gorilla started screaming and beating on his chest. And I resolved to never go where there are wild gorillas because there is clearly something about me that ticks them off xD
