makeup is fun and like AlmostImmortal said, a great form of self-expression--in the right situations. Sports is not the right situation. So yeah, that person is silly. If you know you're gonna play sports, DON'T WEAR MAKEUP.

If you're going out on a date or to a wedding or just feel like wearing it (and you're probably not gonna do sports), then I say go for it. Otherwise, wear it or don't wear as you see fit.

Personally, I rarely wear makeup. I've worn it about three times in the last year--all three times were for weddings. So yeah. Situation is always important when you consider when and where to have makeup on. And no, it does not normally affect personality. That person was probably already a little silly about that stuff anyways.

Also, if you're against makeup because they test it on animals or use harsh chemicals, you can research which companies do and don't do either of these things! A quick google search for it will help immensely. (crueltyfreekitty looks like a decent site listing companies that are, as you can see by the url, cruelty-free.)

Also, do you know how old cosmetics are? At least 6,000 years old. So there is a long, long history of makeup outside of prissy teenage girls who don't want to play sports cause it'll ruin their makeup. XD

Agreed! Everyone should make the choices that make them feel best about themselves. Clothes, makeup or no, accessories or no, stylish or comfy -- everyone's just tryna survive and should be allowed to get whatever small measure of joy they can, wherever they can get it, without feeling bad or judged for it.
