Blazes and blood,
Blights on the day,
Whispers and winters,
Willows at play.

Offers and oaths,
I solemnly swear,
Push and pull,
Romance at wear.

Music and muse,
Many a day,
Silence and secrets,
Drive people away.

Guilted highs,

Human emotion.

What is poetry?
The answer is not
A long one
Or even an
Impressive one.

Is whatever you
Need it to be

When the world is crashing down
And there’s nothing you can do

And you don’t know what to do

I made this for a friend going through a hard time.

Bats flicker
And flit,
Ghouls cackle
And spit.

Kids trick
And they treat,
They laugh
And they eat.

Candy stolen
Memories shared,
Truths are told
And things are dared.
